I was looking at the Wargames Factory plastics, they are cheap... but alot of you dont seem to like them.

For my British troops I use Perry's Sudan British for the most part. I have several units of Ironclad Miniatures Home Service uniform and have converted some Empress miniatures into a  Royal Rifles force. My Royal Marines and naval forces are from Copplestone, simply due to the fact that I had them on hand.

edit: I didn't like the flatness of the Wargames Factory plastics.

Heck, if I was going to start over with Brits, I would get the new Black Cat VSF brits. Lovely models, and not too expensive for 10. I know, I know, not plastic, but reasonably priced and gorgeous minis.

Do you have a link for those?

Here you go:

Are you looking for colonial uniforms, home service uniforms or something un-historical?

If you want to stick with plastics the choice might be limited. I know one or two VSF chaps use plastics for their Brits (or is it zombies?) but cant remember who. They may be along soon.
Don't!

Don't use WF's Zulu War British; they are truly awful figures.

There are lots of ranges to choose from. Are you looking for a particular period (1870s? 80s?) theatre (Europe or 'foreign service'?), and if you're using them with other ranges, do you mind about scale differences (Perry don't scale well with Copplestone, for example).

For my own part, I use Perry’s Sudan range, but don't do this if you're setting your games in Europe.
I told you so. You damned fools.

Perrys always look nice. I may go with those since they have the matching naval guys

The only thing I really know about the historical period is Rorkes Drift..

I have quite a few BTD Zulu war brits, but I also have Scheltrum's 'Aether Marines' and some figs from Ironclad. I'm also going to use some of the Black Cat minis.
