It doesn't actually say it's a giant owl. Could be a very little elf. Lots of folkore elves and creatures of that nature are tiny. Either way I really like it.

I wonder if there is a special 'regurgitate orc balls' rule for it. On a +2 the owl hoicks up a great ball of regurgitated matter. Roll a scatter dic and check for casualties on the artillery table.

The owl is a nice sculpt... but it doesn't look much like a snow owl. =) Looks too lean and slim.
Then again, I don't question the fact it's got an elf on its back... who the fuck am I to criticize realism in 28 mm lead men. As a matter of fact, it's called snow owl, not "snowy owl". =D

One thing I don't like at all is the rider... proportions look wonky, especially the legs.

Yup the owl is superb modelling, It really makes you think of Elves as the little folk however as the sculpt is so good.  Also wouldnt they be night elves with it being an owl

Hmmm. Odd model, really nice sculpting, I hate the elf rider though. Looks too much like it's just been stuck on as an afterthought. That owl is FAR too big for it.

Otherwise, simply awesome.
