Two Barsoomian Women
« on: January 19, 2011, 06:27:24 PM »
Figures by Bronze Age, with modifications (to make them PG-rated) and painting by me.

Not a great sculpt, but it really captures the subject matter.

My opinion:  The gems are good, the armor's decent, and the rest is about as good as it's gonna get.

Skin tone works as well I think,
Not sure what is more perverted tough, painting boobs or sculpting bra's for them.  :D

I've been thinking about investing in this line of figs.  So I appreciate your posting them.  I like the skin tone alot and it goes with the turquoise well.  Do you have any comparison shots with other manufacturers figs?  I'm a little leary of scale differences.
This is my boomstick!

I don't have any comparison shots, but they seem to go well with other figures I have.
The bases are US pennies if that helps.

Somewhere there is an comparison picture with Parroom and another make, pretty sure Bronze Age are on the heroic end of the scale.

EDIT not what I was thinking of but try this thread

Bronze Age Miniatures not-"john carter of mars" figures work really well with Tinman Miniatures not-"john carter of mars" figures (though their respective green martians while looking very similar in style differ largely in size).

Oh, and to get back on topic, very vibrant colours there, Froggy, what's the recipe for the red skin?

Y'know, I can't remember now.  It's something I have to figure out every time.

I know the feeling. It's when I'm always grateful when people asked me what colours I used on a recently finished figure, as afterwards I can go back to my reply to read what they were.  lol

It looks like the Reaper MSP Fire Reds triad with some Rosy Highlight at the end, but as I said, I'm not sure for certain.

Or of course it could be the result of going for a noon-time walk on a Martain summers day without sunblock factor 50!

Good work as always Froggy!
