Hows this at a first attempt of Scuplting
« on: January 20, 2011, 06:06:41 PM »
Well I am trying my hand at sculpting and so far have decided to jump into the deep end head first (literally as you heads first as you will see,  lol). I am wondering if from my initial attempts, should I continue to try and sculpt my own figures? My first sculpts are two heads:

My second attempt

The beginnings of a Zombie (this was also my first attempt)

Both heads side by side

I know the pics are the best quality in terms of lighting, unfortunately all my lighting gear is currently packed up and buried in some boxes in another room due to some redecoration that's going on here.

I initially  used a tutorial on sculpting faces found here: http://www.things-to-make-and-do.co.uk/sculpting-and-modelling/faces-sculpting-tutorial-101/sculpting-faces.html

When I get to starting the bodies and additional heads I will probably try out Jason Miller's methods described in his articles over on Matakishi's site (found here http://www.matakishi.com/sculptingthings.htm )
