Ammo box (and more) help needed, please

Hi Guys, I need to question your 'figure' knowledge.

We are going to play a colonial game in 28mm using the Black Powder rules and we have decided to limit the European troops ammunition supply. To this end I am creating some markers to show ammo usage. I am using Martini Henry ammunition boxes from Empress Miniatures, but they are all closed.

Does anyone know of any manufacturer who makes OPEN Martini Henry ammunition boxes in 28mm so that I can add a bit of variety to my markers?
Whilst I have your attention, does anyone know of anybody supplying 28mm animal skulls? (pref horse or cattle), to use on the bases of some of my colonial Egyptian army.

Redoubt Miniatures sell packs of ammo boxes including both open and closed ones. They can be found in their Zulu wars range.
Dixon Miniatures have longhorn cattle skulls in their Old West line. I am not sure whether they will be of use to you.

I'll see if Dixon have any of the skulls with them at Vapnartak in York on Sunday. Might be easy to cut down the horns and use the skulls, a cow's a cow right?

I guess so! the only difference being the horns?

I suggest phonig Dixons as its the kind of thing he is unlikely to bring to a show. I am not even certain he lists them on his website!

You could use plastic undead horse ie: GW Khemri horses as a source of skulls. I wouldn't recommend buying a box for just one skull but maybe you could beg or steal one from a friend.
