Hmmm, let me see...
62 new teams entered - although 6 of these were declared as 'previously shown' so not strictly new... Still that's not bad, is it, for this stage of the competition, to have only 10 repeat entries from previous rounds?
(One of whom said all along he was going to run with one team for the whole thing, several of whom I know have had real life get in the way this week, and only two or three of whom appear to have given up the ghost altogether...  ;))

Come on all! One more heave!
Nearly home  :)

I might get one more team in, two at most. Going back to uni tomorrow, and will have really very few chances to paint and photo stuff, as well as simply not having access to the figures...  :?

I mailed round 10 in yesterday, if it passes the judges and jury I should have managed to get to my personal `objectove` of grabbing all the available bonus points, to compensate for my lack of painting skills.

Lessons learned towards LPL 6:

* to include scenery and background
* it really is time to replace the camera with one that has a decent macro option, in order to be able to grab pics of models closer 50cm and still get them in focus
* do `something` with the pictures taken like incorporating titles and such

Aaaaah, and to try and remember these things in about a years time  lol

Scratch that, just remembered I've a few figures I've yet to post anywhere. Might just fill the last three...

It's certainly getting difficult towards the end of the competition!!! I'll no longer complain about people having entries ready before the comp, having a few ready to go is diffinately a smart move!

Does anybody else think we're maybe missing an obvious bonus round theme? I know there's probably already too much in the media, but with the royal wedding coming up a round on that or even just a royal theme or wedding theme may have been good?

Do you mean we'd get bonus points for the tackiest bit of souvenir tat we can come up with  ;)

Round 8 in early; it's a pretty decent set of photos and a totally new era & subject matter for me, so a nice change from all those khaki-clad early 20th C soldier types I've been leading to defeat in recent LPL rounds!  :)

Round 8 has been a tough one..... just finished the painting.  Phew!  Unfortunately I won't get to varnish and flock until Friday evening (NOT at the Royal Wedding but at work) and so it looks like photography and submission will be a job for Saturday morning..... sorry about that Cap'n!
