Hello good people of the LAF,

long time lurker and finally overcame my "fear of posting". I am posting this on behalf of the owner of Scheltrum Miniatures, who is a bit of a technophobe and hasn't yet figured out this whole forum-thing:

Scheltrum Miniatures will shortly be launching a new range that will cover various revolutions and wars of independece in the years of turmoil just after WWI.

The initial release will include a weapons pack including:

Mauser G98 rifle
Mauser C96 pistol with stock
MP 18 (with "snail" magazine)
MG 08/15
Luger P08 pistol
Handgrenades
and various revolvers and semi-automatic pistols

Further packs will include armed workers, militarised workers, Spartakists, Volksmarine, loyal navy and police and possibly Freikorps and Freikorps Cavalry. Depending on the success of the range further packs will cover the German Baltic adventures, Grenzschutz Ost (Freikorps actions against the Polish), and the Polish-Soviet War.

Packs will most likely contain 4 figures and the price will be around the 5 pound mark.

Accompanying with the metal range Scheltrum will also launch a range of resin vehicles including:

Ehrhardt E-V/4
Russo-Balt AC
White AC (the French, not the American White)
A7V "Hedi"
A German Flak-truck
A Russian Flak-truck
and German and Russian lorries.

Regards
Karl

Cool stuff. Can I make a mention of the Hungarian–Romanian war of 1919? Always thought that might be an interesting one to game.
I told you so. You damned fools.

Welcome Karl... I can't believe much overcoming of fear was needed to post here surely?  :o

Sounds like an interesting range too... there are several members here with an interest in this era, so hopefully they will be all over these! Be sure to keep us informed.

Most intrigued! Looking forward to the vehicles in particular, there are far too few useful WW1 and Interwar trucks out there, but Freikorps cavalry - oh boy! That's what I am so sorely missing for mine (and I could never convince myself to try and convert the GWM ones)...

Not fear of posting, more fear of technology! I know the fellow concerned and swear to you he works in an underground cell, scripting away with a quill!  ;)

Theres been a lot of discussion and planning going into these and they promise to be a great range

PLEASE!!! make the vehicles 1/56 scale to match those of Company B, Tobsen and Copplestone.

There are already two Erhardt E-V/4 models out there...in case you want to develop something else.

The Russo-Balt and White ACs will be a welcome addition.

Thanks.

Dear all,

to answer your question:

PLEASE!!! make the vehicles 1/56 scale to match those of Company B, Tobsen and Copplestone.

The vehicles will be true 1/56 scale.

Sounds interesting who is the sculptor?

Martin Baker is the sculptor of the range, the first batch of figures is being sculpted now, as soon as we've got the greens we'll post pictures.

Regards
Karl

This should be an interesting range to watch!

I'm especially interested in the trucks - shortage of WW1/early 20s transport vehicles out there, as someone upthread has already pointed out.

And armed civilians/quasi-civilians can have all sorts of uses once they hit the tabletop!

Looking forward to these! ;D

If you haven't come across it the book on German uniforms 1918-1923 by Charles Wooley published by Schiffer has quite a few pictures of the Red Forces as well as the Freikorps and Reichswehr.
