Rogue Trader Redux troops (LPL re-shoot)
« on: May 01, 2014, 02:33:19 PM »
I did some better photos of my Lead Painters League contributions. The ones for the League were done in a hurry with my phone.

The Mobile Infantry:

(Cobalt Mercenaries by Black Hat)

Alien Mercenaries:

(Pax Limpopo Camel Corps by Eureka)

The camel corp make great beastmen.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Nice work on some very interesting figures.
 :-* 8) :-*

I must check out the Eureka range when I get onto some RT-style games of my own.
Thanks for the tip-off.

Love that slightly 1950s/60s vibe of the mobile infantry. Also, that sandy tabletop is pretty, um...  :-*

Sorry to resurrect an oldish thread, but where are those Took miniatures from, Area23? I love 'em! Any info would be appreciated. Love the painting too (and seeing your Cobalt mercenaries makes me realize that I need to pick up some of those as well!).

Very nice.

Personally I'm glad to see Cobalt-1 minis back in production, though it's a bit sad they don't have the clear bubble helmets anymore (or is that still an option?).

I gotta get myself some Aruk...

The Took are made by Zombiesmith in the US. The guys who do the Quar.
They come with shields and some have banner pole, but they look better like this imo.

Thank you! I had a look at the Zombiesmith site - not the smoothest site to navigate, at times, but the miniatures are nice! Thanks for letting me know that the shields are separate, as I think you're right, they do look better without them.
