Very nice conversion of the DWA Dalek mini. 8) 8) 8) 8)

And I like how you left it without any of the rust and wear and tear the original HW Dalek had. Never did understand why it looked like it had just been dragged out of a muddy pond!

Nice work! 8)

the stains are a psychomutagenic residue.... the cannon is so powerful that firing it causes the Dalek mutant to mutate further, to such an extent that normal Daleks don't even consider it to be a Dalek anymore... the radiation has also driven it quite insane...

the casing is also heavily scorched as it logically becomes a magnet to incoming fire whenever it's fielded...

I just received a packet of these Daleks and was wondering if the different colours had any significance?

Never noticed that either. Having a quick look about found these two bits of info.

According to the info about this figure shown here (from 2006, btw)...

http://www.daleklinks.co.uk/news/2006/new-series-12-inch-emperors-guard-dalek-released

...it's a 'sensor arm' (?)

But here...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/s4/characters/?character=daleks&action=profile

...it represents 'additional weapons for maximum defense capability', presumably to help protect the Emperor.

yeah, tardis wiki has sensor arm as well... you can see it in stills now I know to look for it... but it doesn't look like it was all of them...

I like the "sensor" explanation . I could understand a paranoid Emperor not wanting his enemies getting too close , so an increase in range for his bodyguard makes sense .
When I (finally) add a guard unit to my collection , I'll include a few of those .  They could increase the firing range or modify the hit dice for any other Guard Daleks within a certain proximity .

Mind you . I suspect the actual function was to look cool . 8)

Okay, just posted these pics over at the Yahoo Groups for the Dr Who Miniatures Game, Dr Who:Invasion Earth, and the SFSFW as well.

Yes, another toy iDalek mini on the cover of DWA, but this time it's HUGE, about 60mm tall! (Pics have a Micro Universe Dalek, and the Supreme iDalek from the last Battle Pack issue for comparison.)

Plus, as it contains 'Dalek Sludge' for the kids, it means it's semi pose-able!

Could be used as a New Paradigm Emperor, I suppose! Or maybe a Dalek tank, for all you converters out there!

Is it time to storm the newsagents again? It's only one per issue by the way, and I've only got one so far! Discuss!

It's a reissue of one from a few months ago  :)

Every now and again DWA has a "surprise" free gift to use up any leftovers from previous magazines .   You got lucky . All I've seen are the Bronze coloured Dalek Frisbee....

Next week is a jigsaw !!!  Oh be still my dancing feet....
