The walls look great! Are they scratchbuilt?

Yeah, they're a redux of these ones:

The original thread is here:

I like those walls. Are you planning some doors?

I'll be using the mantic and Antenocitie's doors that I painted up for that same modular interior board. I just made some new walls because I wanted some that would work with the deep cut mat, primarily motivated by one of the Stargrave scenarios.

Funny how Joseph's games motivate me to produce scenery and figures I hadn't previously considered., I think that's what I like so much about them. Even funnier is the fact that I very rarely play any games any more lol

Here's a couple of pics with the doors. I produced the walls thinking I'd use the frames, hence they're cut to a specific length to go across the 3x3 mat as per the scenario, but truth is I prefer them without the frame. What do you think?

As always, although I may forget to say so, thanks for the feedback. :)

Those walls fit very nicely with the matt, and have just the right level of extra detail to catch the eye's interest without distracting from the actual gameable space.

I agree that the frameless doors look more appealing, and if you're not actually gaming that much with them that's the biggest consideration! From a gaming point of view, though, I suspect I'd like the frame as its extra height makes the layout and routes around the board just that little clear when standing over it all. Then again, perhaps it's better to have a little bit more of a fog of war effect.

Thanks for the comments all.

I've bashed out some GeeDubyee bits to set up some of the Stargrave scenarios and give me some more options for FiveParsecs.

Tubes and bits from one of the second season Kill team boxes, that I think were originally available as some Mechanicus bits and bobs, and a couple of bits from Kill team into the dark.

They're quite nice pieces if you can get over all the 'Skullz t.m.' and the ever present Punch and Judy 'Grim Darkyness', but whatever.

Couple of coats with the airbrush and then lots of fun playing with 'Dirtydown'  rust. Pretty happy with the turn around, what's your verdict.

Yeah, that looks quite good, with the consistent painting. I hardly even notice the skulls! It looks like a great table to play on, visually appealing and not over-cluttered.

Great stuff! You did a good job making them look realistic, but without going overboard and down the rabbit hole of painting every bolt.  :-*
