I love how it all comes together with the walkways and ladders. It makes a nice visual maze.

I like the proportion of the tree there. I wonder what else might grow up behind the shanties too?

Jevenkah

Thanks, Jevenkah. I'm rather pleasantly surprised at how well it's all coming together too. I'd like to get least one more stacked up shack to connect with The Hole-In-The-Wall at it's upper level. Some sort of brewing paraphernalia might be in the works also.

A little petering out of the village would work fine behind. Don't want too abrupt an end with a three-story tenement dropping to nothing, but even just one or two single shacks further inland would be enough to give a more natural effect.

LOVE the idea of another still here. That's perfect for a place like this.

Love it.

The big tenements can be the edge of the village, but with a natural feature (swamp, cliff, etc) bordering it.

Hmm - I have this vision of a factory or a brewery somewhere. Or a goblin sheriff/fire station!

Thanks for the kind comments, Guys!

The Still is a definite...I'm going to try to incorporate the Armor Cast Mushroom Furnace. I think the Shanty Town (or No Name City as I think of it) will spill over into the adjoining Graveyard...the Goblins are trying to re-purpose the place.

I may have mention this before, but the project is taking over what passes for my life.

Although there are ladders, posters, et al to add toe the first Tenement, it is for the most part completed...mostly. SO here are some awful photos to give you a vague idea where the Poor Folk reside.

A more elevated front shot:

Once I get it in place, you'll be subjected to yer more pics. Until then your kind commentaries would be welcome...kind of.

This is bloody awesome. Perfect wargames terrain, great work Al.

Thanks, Andrew! I'm glad delighted you like The Project.
It's just about time for an update: I mounted the Mushroom Brewery today...That Famous Single Malt, Hooligan's Hooch. The fermenting tanks & furnace/oast are underway, & a coal bin was fabricated. If The Camera is cooperative, I'll have some photos up tomorrow...actually it is already tomorrow for you, but that's getting too confusing for moi.

I love the name, "hooligans hooch" perfect bit of equipment for the mushrooms. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a local mushroom with a curious case of pink eye lying down next to a upset tree!  ;D

Cheers

Thanks, Constable B! That gives me an idea for a couple of Mushrooms leaning against a breached barrel singing or some such thing.

IT'S UPDATE TIME! May I have an "OH BABY!"?
As Hooligan's approaches completion, I thought a few photos were in order...or not. SO without further ado:

A long shot of both boards as they are now:

The Vulture's take on things:

Around Hooligan's:

The Brewery proper:

The Brewer's Oast & Tanks should be done by this time next week. Then on wit the detailing...my favorite part...& possibly another shack or two.
In the interim your kind comments, critique, suggestions, et al would be most welcome.

OH BABY!

God, did you really build a mushroom-shaped oven? That's perfect.

Thanks, Fram! Much as I'd like to take the credit, the furnace/oven is made by ArmorCast. Here's a link to the Steam Mushroom:

I also have their Steam Punk Mushroom Observatory...an equally cool piece.

Ooh Baby

That's cool, and am agreed with Fram about the mushy oven. Are those aluminium cans? They are a really good size and work well. Though I do hope there is a lot of copper work and pipes, and green oxidisation ;)

I think the face on the brewery is great, very bold of you. Will he have a straw to sample what's inside?  ;D

Hell yeah!

Your house must be easy to keep clean Deafnala, as mould and probably mildew takes one look at your terrain and gives up.

ArmorCast is once more responsible for the storage tanks/brewery vats. They have a line storage tanks that are tops & bottoms for soda cans of regular & large varieties plus one for Pringle's sized tubes.

The Face is part of the ooze seeping/escaping from the vats...hopefully he'll look the part when painted.

The dust bunnies ate all the mold & mildew. Actually a lack of thingies growing here is mostly the work of John's Girl Friend, Doreen...she is house keeping's answer to Attila the Hun.
