Now that it is painted, it looks more evil than I imagined!  lol
Nice color combinations! Cheers!

As far as commitment goes; folks have been saying I should be committed for decades now.

hahaha most hobby outsiders would say that about any of us ;)

Seriously great stuff Al! That colourful brute is gloriously hideous. 8) It's particularly off putting how hes bending down, like he's trying to eat a passing goblin or something.  o_o It's just fantastic.  8)

Just a thought based on the above image in my head, perhaps you could extend your flora to include pitcher plants and venus fly traps..... ???

Cheers

Bloody brilliant! Those colours pack a mean punch (and so would that mushroom if he had fists!).

I like Bertrand's suggestion too - carnivorous plants seem right up your alley!

Awesome as allways, Al.
Love those new shrooms, and that newly painted is my favorite  ;D

Thanks, Tobias. I am happy you like the new Mushroom(s). They are a departure from my normal approach to the modeling & the painting.
I am enjoying the change. I can see there will be a greater variety to the Mushrooms & the scenery with a more pronounced Faerie Realms
feel to the place. Of course it will be a whimsical/satirical take on that idea.

Now that it is painted, it looks more evil than I imagined!  lol

There is something evil about the Big Guy...or at least, ticked off.
I am delighted you like the colors. They are a new approach. Thanks for the kind reply, Dinos.

Thanks, Matt. I am happy you like the latest Mushroom. He does look like he is bending down to get into some one's face...or bite it off.
The carnivorous plants may very well get a try. They are featured in some inspiring photos on the Pinterest site. The colors are wonderful
& they have a creepy, alien quality that fits with the feel of my setting.

Thanks, Fram! I am delighted you like the colors & the Mushroom. He is a nasty piece of work.
The carnivorous plants will get a serious looking at.

The may be the base for the new Pinterest Inspired Mushroom; a suitably creepy stump that is an entry way into a Faerie Kingdom Deep Place:

The new mushrooms, with their fluorescent colours, send a definite message: Do not touch!
And the Creepy Stump! I'm sure we are going to see something unusually queer and... creepy!  ;-)
You are experimenting with new materials? Eager to see how it will come out! Cheers!

I realise that for some unaccountable reason I've never commented on this always inspiring thread. So may I now remedy my omission and say what fun it all is? Your inventiveness never disappoints. The latest mushrooms are fantastic additions and their colours suitably well, interesting...

Looking forward to seeing how the creepy stump develops!

I've never thought about making the frame of something from foil. What a brilliant idea.

I've seen craters made from pie plates, but this is a whole different ballgame. Impressive!

Thanks for the kind reply, Dinos. I am just using DAS (air dry clay) & the aluminum foil in a slightly different way.
So far it is working okay. I have the roof covered & smoothed out. Once that is dry I will do the bark, then the tiles.
It is fun watching it develop...I'll keep you posted.

Welcome to the thread, Severain, & thanks for the reply...glad you are enjoying the stuff.
I am all too guilty of not commenting myself. I just draw a blank on some threads I would like to leave a comment on.
Stop in soon. I should have some new stuff in a bit...may be two bits.

I didn't think of it myself either. I got the ideas of how versatile DAS is & the things you could do with aluminum foil from Creative Mom on YouTube:

There are all sorts of inspiring thing churning around there. I did the roofs on the second Spooky Woods photo stage using aluminum foil & DAS.
