We will see.

SO another Mushroom has been added to the October batch:

These are the other Mushrooms sans the Goblins:

AND the Gang with Leo Sizechek for comparison:

They are BIG Guys.

AND I did a rebase & rebase coat on two minis that I picked up in my one & only visit to The War Store out in Southold, LI. These Guys are either Black Scorpion or Laughing Monk. In either case, they are no longer listed as available. One is a Fairy Hunter; the other I think was called The Seven Sins:

I am hoping to overcome the intimidation factor that is part of very cluttered minis...I hope.

Hi!
I already said that I was feeling the October batch will be great, but the new additions are beyond any guess!
Your new reversed cup mushroom looks great!
You also did very well to hire a Czech for measuring the size of your shrooms, lol I deem Mr Leo will do his job methodically and with a professional zeal!

Fairy Hunter and the Seven Sins! Very inspired sculpts!
You should not have to fear the intimidation factor of cluttering, as they have to be like that!
And, for sure, when you paint them with your bold colors, every tiny detail on them will show!
Each one of them has a long story to tell and one must watch them from all sides
Also... watch the watches!
The different hour they show must have connection with the relativity of time  lol
Being more serious, they have a rare originality and they deserve some close-ups!
Eager to see them painted! Cheers!

Superb additions! The big mushroom in the first photo is my favourite. His face looks so natural. Again great stuff.

Thanks as always for the positive response, Dinos. I should get a start on the Mushrooms & friends today. Yesterday was lost to a trip to the Wild Flower Store in distant Fredricksburg.
The Mystery minis are cluttered in an obvious way that should be fairly easy to handle. The Rackham minis I had in backlog were much more fiddly...they were donated to more ambitious painters. We will see how they turn out.
I also have plans for more Pumpkinheads in keeping with the Halloween mood of the month.

Thanks for the reply, Tungdil. Do you mean the Cup Mushroom? He does have a lecherous grin...I like that in a fungus.

I hadn't thought of the musical possibilities for the Cup Mushroom, but you & one of the T.B.M.F. Folk pointed it out.
I remember Dizzy Gillespie's cheeks puffing out like a balloon. It almost looked like he would float away.
With the smaller cups/trumpets surrounding the Big Guy, he could sound like a steam calliope.

It is go to see you here, Bloggard. Your trumpet idea was one of the better observations I have gotten.

One of the great pleasures of LAF is catching up on this thread! Great stuff, Nala!

Very interested to see what you make of that fairy hunter!
