We don't know if the mushrooms on Shaman's shoulder are dangerous, but HE does, for sure!  ;)

...it is always a good idea to know what's growing on you...I suppose.
Thanks for the reply, Dinos. I delayed posting so I could include some pics from today's activity.
Today the Shaman got a bit more colorful & his base is made:

A better look at the base:

The Shaman will be mounted where the head pin now is. The pale grey areas are plumber's epoxy putty:

The eye/bead is in a roiling bit of green stuff:

One advantage to slow progress is that I can't put up pics that are more W.I.P. than I would tend to do if moving along like the hammers of Hell...sounds good anyway.

The Shaman is pretty much done:

AND the base is coming along:

Eye see you:

There you go.

The Mushroom Shaman & Friends are done:

If the trip to the dentist isn't fatal, some fancy photos will follow...eventually.

Well, the Shaman seems ready to teach us all the knowledge he has gathered about this so strange species of life, called mushroom...
Some biologists say that fungi should not belong to the flora but should have a completely separate position in the tree of life!
And they say that their DNA is more closely related in DNA to humans than to plants!
Eagerly waiting for more pics!

There are some truly lovely mushrooms. They are a unique life form.
I seem to have survived the dentist's appointment. SO I will take some photos tonight or early tomorrow in a proper setting. I think I
will do a group shot with the Mushroom Wizard & Troll as well. The Group Portraits are always more impressive than the individual pics.
Thanks for the continued support, Dinos!

For reasons unknown to all but The Camera of Continual Contrariness all attempts at individual photos of the Mystic Mushroom Shaman proved to be futile. The Group Photos, however, were rather nice. SO, going with the flow, here is the Shaman & Associates...starting with the long view of the subject in the Cavern Gray Scale near the Pit of The Hungry Eye:

Surrounded by his followers/groupies (Reaper Pathfinder Goblins):

A closer look:

With the Mushroom Troll (Reaper 44002 Rock Troll):

AND The Mushroom Wizard (G.W. O.O.P. plastic Night Goblin conversion) in The Spooky Woods:

There you have it. The remainder of the weekend will be spent staring into space & moaning softly.

Thanks, von Lucky...glad you liked it all. There was a certain satisfying feeling about finally getting the photos up, AND without even one profane word. Amazing!

What an assembly! Fantastic. Love 'em all.

The remainder of the weekend will be spent staring into space & moaning softly.

Better to stare into plain old regular space then a colour out of space.  ;D

The staring into space idea didn't pan out. SO I started working on the Night Goblins' eyes. If I do them just right, they will all look like little Marty Feldmans.

I always like your group photos, and the Shaman is a centerpiece!
It is a sculpt with so many details and you added more with the mushrooms and all, and always your bases are telling a story!
I think your best of this set of photos are the two of the Shaman alongside the Troll, which I consider one of your most inspired works!
Shaman, Troll and Goblins, you managed to blend them together so well and the bonding agent is the presence of mushrooms, of course!
Cheers!

Thanks, Dinos. I am delighted you like the Group Pics.  I think the Little Hooligans look their best in groups also.
Much as with your lovely 18th century miniatures, I think I have found my niche with the twisted faerie tales, goblins, the personable Mushrooms, & Trees.
Presenting them in groups maximizes their appeal.
