As it is taking shape it becomes more and more atmospheric! Cheers!

Thanks for the reply, Dibos. I am glad you like it. I'm thinking of adding a couple bas relief Mushrooms.

Lots of stuff done or getting done. I finished the first bas Relief Mushroom & entourage, a Mushroom duet for one of my Nurses, AND I have three bases of Mushrooms & two rebased Trees ready for details plus some things not shown here.
The bas relief Mushroom & entourage:

In the works Mushroom & Tree basing:

That is it until whenever.

Utterly  glorious, your coloring in is, as always inspiring and imaginative as ever.

Everything is bright, awesome fun, but at the same time, worryingly fungally darkly edged.

Thanks for the kind reply, Dinos. I am happy you like the stuff. I finished the bases for the Mushrooms & Trees yesterday except for the final dry brush on the grass. Pictures are forthcoming.

Thanks for the reply, Basementboy! I am delighted you are enjoying the thread. Providing inspiration marginalizes my uselessness.

I managed to finish the Mushrooms & Trees this morning, take some photos, AND get the gift Mushrooms wrapped & ready to give to the nurses.

Next post should be more detailing of the stage depending on how well my attention span holds against the shinies.

Not really exciting, but I prepped up a bunch of wooden bases today; i.e., glued floral foam sphere slices & covered with Woodland Scenics foam putty

Once the putty is dry, I will cover the tops with watered down tack glue & sand, paint them, & then they will be all set for whatever I want based, The wood discs are 40mm, 50mm, & a couple of 30mm.

Striking colors and beautifully based as always!
But what mostly attracts the eye is the tree! Impressive! Very good job!

Thanks, Dinos. I am glad you like them. The Trees were fun to make & have served me well on the photo stages. These two have trunks made from live oak branches. When I first moved to Texas they were in the middle of a drought. Branches & pieces of bark were plentiful & very useful for modeling.

The second & third of the bas relief background Mushrooms are in place. There will be a few final floral touches, possibly some foliage on the background trees, then the stage will be done:

The three Goblin Foot Mushrooms are also done:

Until whenever!

I was fully expecting you would add some foliage to the treetops, it would really give the stage a nice oomphy boost!

It seems inevitable that I will do some foliage on the trees if only to distinguish them from the dead looking carnivorous Trees.
