The Dark Sun guys are looking promising  8)

I like the new walkers - there must be missing links somewhere though. How about a "Five stages of Mushroom Evolution" style piece?

Thanks, Thantsants...glad you like the stuff! The D.S. Guys are coming along at a painfully slow pace, but coming along nonetheless.

The Mushrooms & the Woodsy Friends will probably keep evolving. They're my latest addiction...how about a Winged Mushroom?

Oh yes winged mushrooms... loving the idea already. The mushrooms with legs are brilliant by the way.

Thanks, Za! I'm delighted you like them & took the time to say so.

As I slap some paint on the ambulatory Mushrooms, I keep thinking about the Flying Fungus Fellows. What I came up with in jest is starting to take on some possibilities. I wonder how they'd look with goggles.

Here's the first of the Leggy Mushroom Men...the second should wander by sometime late tomorrow. I have two sets of photos on the Lad; one too dark & one too light. These are the too light ones:

Thanks, Paul! I'm glad you got a chuckle out of the post...that is the reaction I hoped for.

I finished up the #2 Roving Mushroom Guy & took some TRULY DREADFUL photos...I'll inflict them on you tomorrow.

Thanks for commenting, DowVooVoo! I'm glad you're enjoying The Project. Over the course of this year I hope to tie most of the stuff together. With my propensity to go of on tangents this might be quite a trick to pull off.

Those fungi fellows with feet are smashing... or should I say stomping!  :-* So next batch of them evolves with wings??  :o

There's something undescriptable in those minis that make me shiver. What a great job!

Thanks for all the kind comments, Guys! You've made my day...such as it is.
@pocoloco: the Dark Sun was one of those settings that my erstwhile AD&D Group went crazy about & then lost interest after the modules & minis were purchased...these quick temporary flashes of enthusiasm were a Group trait.

@Suber: there is a certain clown-like surrealism to the otherwise silly things that makes them disturbing. A number of Folks on a few Forums have said they cause nightmares (insert Evil laughter here).

AND NOW, with a suitable fanfare & without further ado, here is the seacond of the Mobile Morels:

I imagine these Guys getting around with a low slung Groucho Marx style strut.

AND the Group Portrait:

How know what the next Mushroom manifestation will be? Me neither.
In the meantime your kind comments would be appreciated...kind of.

Yes, I think that it is. And yes, they are lovingly disturbing.
