SO there is a reason the Floral Section Girl at Michael's breaks into a cold sweat whenever I browse the section. I've been working on some flowers to grow on the vines surrounding Rapunzel's Twisted Tower:

This is one before priming:

AND a bunch all primed up pretty:

AND some Mushrooms as well...when I'm trying to figure out color or such for minis, I make Mushrooms:

I said it before but I say it again, the faces you sculpt have so much character and are really funny!

Oh goodness DeafNala, those flowers are terrifying.  :o well done. They certainly look more dangerous than the mushies and look more aggressive than the trees!

You should have a huge Venus Flytrap in there too, as the flower King.

Cheers

Thanks, for the reply & the idea, Matt. They are pretty creepy...not a trustworthy bud in the whole flower bed. The sweeter the expression the creepier & more dangerous they seem.

Now THAT is an OUTSTANDING idea. The Venus Fly Trap would be horrifying, as would a Pitcher Plant with a face. I can see a trip to the flora section of Michael's in my future.

Nice - those faces! I see the pitcher plant conversion as a sort of Jabba the Hutt, crime lord of the town.

Thanks, von Lucky. The faces started as rather ghost like things on a Mordheim Chaos possessed ruin eight or nine years ago. The first were sculpted in plumber's epoxy putty; Green Stuff & the Mushrooms changed it all.

The Pitcher Crime Lord or Floral Godfather has possibilities. It is amazing how these thing blossom...the ideas that is.

Suitably wonderfully creepy.

As are the great suggestions from others in this thread.

Thanks, Fram. Creepy seems to be The In thing.

The feedback I get is a  main source of inspiration. The kind comments supply the motivation to see the inspiration become actuality...that's my philosophical thought of the day.

Now I know I've lost it. I read your comment & immediately started thinking of how to make a gnat. Thanks, von Lucky...I think I can do it.

A simple sewing pin (without the coloured ball on the end) as the armature, small ball of greenstuff around that for the body; ball next to that for the head and then two little wings (probably do those separately, gluing them on when they've dried).

Thanks, Too Bo Coo! I'm glad you are enjoying it. If you need any how to info, give a holler.

That would work; thanks, von Lucky!
With somethings being larger than their real counterparts, I was also thinking of coming up with an UberGnat.
