Thanks, LordOdo! I'm hoping to gt the tentacles in place later today. I got hung up on trying to think of a way to make them removable...no luck on that. Once they're in place, I can agonize about color.

It made me think of this: (great comic too btw)

SO I have The Tree primed & ready for some color. As a size reference, a W.I.P. Troll volunteered to pose by The Tree:

Now all I have to do is overcome the lure of monochromatic.

fabulous stuff, literally and subjectively.

Don't you LOVE those Epic Movies that start with a dramatic scene of some vast area...like the Negev or some such desert in Lawrence of Arabia? Then the camera zooms in on The Hero as the theme music builds in the background. Well I took some photos of The Vault of Pack Rattiness & my Work Tables from HELL! for a rant about something I've decided not to get into AND, rather than waste them, I decided a cinematic approach to my diminutive Heroes-in-Progress would be a fine & inappropriate idea. SO sns the music, here we go:

The Work Space (well actually 2/3 of the work space, but let's not quibble):

...sweeping majestically past the Monochromatic Scenery:

...& the Dark Hold Goblins:

...we approach the Heroes:

...a leap into the Present:

...& a few possible distractions...hedging my bets:

...there you go. Wasn't that fun?

The original sculpting, the colored bases with the b&w minis are such a pleasure to look at.  Wonderful collection!

Thanks again, Too Bo Coo! The minis will shortly be just as colorful as their bases. Then I'll do photos of them on the black & white Gray Scale Cavern board...it's all SO confusing.

I don't comment near enough on this awesome thread.

There is an old danish joke about northern danes, who a known to be a very sombre/serious people. Where the wife complaints to her husband that he does not tell her he loves her enough. And his response is that he has already once told her that he loves her once and he will let her know if that changes.

Even thou I do not comment on every update. I do love them all.

I will let you know if that changes ;D

Well..it's partly do to being a coffee addict & an insomniac with a lack of a social life plus a streak of bloody mindedness several yards wide, but mostly because I genuinely love what I'm doing. The fact that other Folk seem to enjoy what I do only adds fuel to the fire.

Thanks, Psychoflexible. I'm happy you like the stuff.
I don't mind repeating myself at all. I do a thin coat of black paint. Then a dry brush of white once the black is dry.
