Since this tree may or may not be part of a vignette: Swamp Thing, I wasn't going to post it here, but, inspired by floedebolle's (from T.B.M.F.) array of trees, I figure what the heck:

It's a denizen of a swamp:

AND a prime example of not knowing when enough is enough:

...this tree could induce Smokey to start passing out match books to kids.

Should the Swamp Thing Vignette/Diorama not work out, there will be a Sleezy Swamp Troll hanging around by the Tree:

Brilliant! That tree is cracking! :-* I'm imagining a whole forest full of those walking trees! What's the foliage on top? Is that clump or something you've made yourself?

Thanks for the kind reply, Andym.
The foliage is mesh from Micro Mark & a mix of Super Leaf Spring & Medium Greens. You just pull out the mesh until it's wispy, spray or paint on glue & cover with the Super Leaf. This is the first try with it. Next time I'll make it wispier for a less dense effect.

Holy bones, these are fantastic additions!

What are you doing for that foliage by the way? The effect you've managed looks really great!

Thanks, Fram. I'm delighted you like the stuff.

To be a bit clearer on the foliage: it is Green Poly Fiber fro MircoMark:

Its pulled out until it's wispy...next time I'll make it wispier yet...hooked on the branches & sprayed with Krylon Super Quick Spray Adhesive (spots I missed were touched up with watered down Alene's Tacky afterward). Then covered with Super Leaf; I used a Spring & Medium Green Mix:

I love the sense of motion to that tree! Especially in this photo:

[/img]

He looks like he's looking back at whoever is chasing him as he bolts across a field.

I like the looks of that Superleaf stuff & may have to give it a try.

He/it will probably look less mobile once mounted on a base, but even then I think the Old Tree would look like he had a sprint in him. Thanks for pointing that out; I missed that perspective. It's "roots don't fail me now".

I bought the Super Leaf awhile ago. Then I agonized over the how-to-do-its. Once I started it was a snap...a sticky snap, but a snap nonetheless. It does look better than clump, or, at least, to my mind.

It's added a whole new level. Like what it must been like for you old folk (:D) when you saw 'The Wizard of Oz' in the theatre for the first time when it went from black and white to colour.

That blew my mind when I first saw it...it's still a GREAT effect.

Thanks for the reply, von Lucky!
