Man, even PRIMING something that big must be a fair amount of work.

...there are benefits to having nothing better to do. It does take awhile to do, & working up the enthusiasm to actually paint the Beasty is another matter entirely.
I'm shooting for a finished board by early July...of this year.

Since you never out grow your need for Mushrooms, AND I need to something with the excess green stuff from The Braid, I made some more of the George Bush (The Elder) style Mushrooms:

Friend Jay, from the Reaper Forum, suggested doing an Operatic Tenor Mushroom

...AND in his prime(r):

...I'm easily influenced...at times.

AND here he is in full color, ready for basing...somewhere:

...I think he has a certain resemblance to Zero Mostel...sorry about that Zero.

Zero! :D  Sing it out, men! Higher, you animals, higher! We open in Leavenworth Saturday night!

If you're going to do Bialystock, then you need to do a Bloom.  ;)

I'm thinking a particularly nervous flower, but you might have a better idea still.

Thanks, Fram! You got the exact Mostel role I had in mind. AND, since he will be serenading The Tower in all probability, he'll be mingling with the Flowers...an inspired suggestion.

Thanks for the kind reply, sundayhero. Your comments are always appreciated. I must admit I don't comment in other Folks' threads as often as I would like or should.
I'm rather surprised just how large the Beasty has gotten. My stubborn streak has flexed its muscles. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying it all.

What I like in your project is that you go as far as you think it's needed. Even small details are hand sculpted and finely painted, and if you think it's a good addition, you will do it.

In my work I'm sometimes frustrated to the fact I have material and time constraints, and it's really enjoyable to see other people "no limit" work. I hope I will be able to go in this kind of project as soon as possible myself !

Fear not, eventually the ceaseless demands of cruel reality lessen. All you have to do is hang on to your enthusiasm & it will all work itself out.
I look at the long hours & tedious work my regular job demanded as training for focusing & carrying on when energy is lacking.  Painting "armies" for other Folk taught me self discipline. Of course, I didn't look at it that way when I was going through it.

SO with some stuff done, I figured I'd prep up YET MORE Thingies to add to the backlog' There's The Mushroom Queen & some Minions:

...with some Bronze Age Dwarves of Evil Nature being rebased & in their carton:

AND out of the carton, the Head Honcho, Guards, & Babes:

...sans The Babes:

...Dwarf babes about Town:

...Wereboar in his two forms:

...Evil Henchdwarves:

...Renaissance Dwarves:

...a Twisted Faerie:

...with a Wizard & Diva thrown in for good measure. The Diva supplied the idea for the Mushroom Queen:

...AND that's what happens when the Internet is slow.

The Babes are all from Bronze Age Miniature

http://bronzeagemin.com/

The ones with the Dwarf Honcho came with him & the Guards as a pack. The others were sold in groups...I think you can get them individually now.
AND, while prices have gone up since my last visit there, there seems to be a sale in progress    .
