Thanks, Guys...I'm glad you all like it.

Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

At first I thought the "l" was a "!"...it was the earlier pigeon idea. I appreciate all the "o"s.

Very nice. Can't wait to see the big building painted.

Same here. Yesterday night I added a control lever & a couple of gears to the power assisted braid hoist. The painting starts today.

Brilliant!

Originally I was going to do the dome/roof/whatever in red to match some of the mushrooms...now I'm thinking of doing a few Mushrooms with a star field to match the Observatory. Oddly enough, the eye was the one thing that I knew I was going to do before I started painting. I'm glad you like it; it's the kind of detail that can freak people out.

Until Xherman from the reaper Forum inadvertently jogged my memory, I had forgotten that way back in '11, when the Observatory looked like it was going to be Heep's neighbor, I painted up Felstiff The Fate Keeper as its Master Astrologer.  AND here he si, along with his retinue of familiars:

...there you have them.

AND while I'm here, I got some paint on the Tower:

It looks great, the one thing I'm not entirely sure about is if it looked better with just small bits of color against the more black & white appearance that felt almost like an old TV...

The upper part of the Tower is still just based coated...I use a white over black base. It will soon be as brightly painted as the rest of the village...hopefully.

It's more of an aesthetic thing that I might end up using at some point. The characters in color with the battlefield in the black and white look save for a few small features in bright colors...

Almost like a twisted fantasy version of the red coat trope...

When it's done right monochromatic/gray scale looks fantastic; just as you said, like an old TV show. The white brush I did over a black base coat lacks the subtle blend of grays necessary to pull off the effect. The mono with spots of color for dramatic effect is like what they did in Sin City...looks very cool & atmospheric. One of guys here on L.A.M. had a gray scale Zorro thread going that was really fantastic.

SAVE A LADY!

The Diva needed something to stand on when I put her on one of The Twisted Tower balconies. SO I potted her & her entourage...so to speak:
