Maybe the game wasn't a that good suggestion..

...maybe not, but I liked it. Thanks for the replies, LordOdo...your feedback is appreciated!

Fantastic townscape. Oozing with character, and, possibly... other things...

Thanks for the reply, Vermis!

The Blight is now ready for some paint & detail. Building #11 of 11 is all base coated:

...with closeups for the Door Fans:

...another door:

AND a look around The Blight with all the holes filled...so to speak:

...with all the buildings now crafted & base coated, the FUN begins.

Colour! Time for magnificent and potentially-slightly-nauseating colour!

...it looks like he was leveled by the spirits though.

Considering my color choices, I probably should have a vision advisory post prefacing the photos.
Thanks for the reply, Fram!

This great stuff, excellent vision and execution.

I love the locking mechanisms on the doors.

Thanks for the reply, hubbabubba. I would love to say it was all planned out, but it is pretty much an ad lib thing.
Crafting the doors has become a favorite occupation with moi. I'm happy you like them.

Great townscape! Reminds me a bit of the shambles in York but looking less reputable and with some buildings in dire need of a structural survey. Looking forward to seeing it painted  :-*

Thanks, Thew1...I'm glad you like it.
I didn't have any particular place in mind when I did the crafting, but it reminds me of a couple real & fictional places as well. I looked up The Shambes; it is a much nicer neighborhood, but still claustrophobic.

Fantastic wee town! Great vision, brilliantly realised! :-*

Thanks, Andym! The morale boost is appreciated.
This is a physical representation of the villainy, debauchery, & squalor that Washington D.C. represents spiritually.

When I dug out The Blight to work on a few months ago, there were two tentacles in the cellar window of the only complete building on the board. I was pretty sure there had been three. Now that I 'm at the detailing stage I figured I'd add a couple more to fill The Thing & the window out:

...kind of creepy, eh?!

Flicking through the thread after a few weeks away. DeafNalaesque as always.

Where do you source your door handles/gears from? I want to believe old watches, but I know that's unlikely.

WELCOME BACK! AND thanks for the reply, von Lucky.
I did get a few from a couple of old watches, but most I got from an online jewelry company, eebead (they don't carry the gears anymore) & Hasslefree (they still do).

There is nothing new to report on The Blight; re, I volunteered to paint a D&D crew for a Fellow T.B.M.F. Guy. They're Freeblade minis for a Pathfinder game:

...that's the Group thus far. Hopefully they will be done in a couple more days, then back to the twisted streets.
