DeafNala, great choice of models (I'm a sucker for WWVW miniatures anyway) and flawless execution, WELL DONE!

But... now you MUST get a varda for them!  lol lol lol lol lol

Thanks, dino. I'm glad you like him. I picked up a bunch of the Vampire Wars stuff a few years ago. Most are based up & prepped with a few completed pieces. I have their Vardo; it is small but rather nice nonetheless. I haven't decided how I want to base it or whether or not to attach the horses. I'm leaning towards making a camp scene.

DeafNala, you already told me about this WW vardo of yours, I'm talking about the one you'll scratchbuilt yourself with a removable roof to put the figures inside (for when the gypsy family is attacked by hungry wolves or something even worse in the narrow mountain roads of Carpathia...) :D

Anyway, IMHO every cart or wagon must be detachable from its horses (or whatever creature is being used for traction) for that kind of "camp scenes" you are willing to do!  ;)

BTW: Talking about gypsies and fantasy gaming, I strongly advise you to take a look (a good read, actually) in the old OOP Ravenloft book about the VISTANI; since it's now on public domain, it can be downloaded for free here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/lylygrclo3hts28/Ravenloft_-_VISTANI_Guide.PDF

The separate horses & wagon or caissons & cannons is how we did it when I was a historical gamer. It seems like The Way to do things. With the Vardo I was thinking more of making it a display piece.
Thanks for the links, dino. I ran an AD&D Ravenloft campaign a long time ago. The Vistani were favorites as NPCs.

"Gypsy Hench Person" is going to be today's phrase. Or the iteration: "Hench-Person of Gypsy Persuasion."

I had forgot about that...it's been a while.

Thanks, Fram. The blue looks a bit more flat in the photos than in actuality, but I glad you like him anyhow.
I was looking at some Wikipedia photos of a Vardo's interior. It would be quite a challenge to do it right...I'll have to think about this.

Lovely work, sir.

Thanks for the reply, Paul. I'm glad you like him.
Any Horror setting could use a violin, AND, if poorly enough played, a heavily armed music critic.

There is some fun to be had with political correctness (being politically correct means always having to say you are sorry).
Thanks for the reply, Dentatus!

I know of a minstrel that once used the tension of the chords of his violin to shoot the arch like an arrow straight thorough the master cultist's hand, making him drop the sacrificial blade and thus saving the kidnapped peasant girl at the last moment... "That's what us traveling bards do", he said later with genuine modesty, "We IMPROVISE!"  ;)

Thanks for the reply, beefcake! I'm glad you like them so far.
I think Prof. Witchheimer has them all painted up as well...I'm going to check for inspiration sake.

She isn't actually blind, plus there are three operational eyeballs on her staff, but it is best to take a Witch at her word. SO this is Blind Esme the Seer:

The great thing about gypsys are their colourfull clothes, and you really made them shine! Will they be evil-doers or innocent travelers passing through your villages?
