Emerging from the depths of Heep's Caverns, The Meandering Mushroom Mob:

The Lantern:

The Wizard:

The Flunky:

...Than Gang with a shot of the setting at Heep's:

...they may not see any games, but the boards are splendid puppet stages for photos.

Cracking painting there. Sorry I didn't really read anything and just look at the pictures (I had 8 pages to catch up on) That backdrop you did was amazing.

I admit I tend not to read stuff also, especially the really wordy articles...all the lip moving can such a drag.
SO thanks for the reply, beefcake. I am happy you enjoy the photos; that is my favorite part of most threads.
The boards are making some nice photo stages...check out the latest above.

I think they're EDIBLE!  ;D
Well, most of them anyway...

GREAT WORK, DeafNala;)

...they do bite back though. Thanks for the reply, dino! I appreciate the ongoing support...glad you like them.

Wonderful work, Amigo.
I love them all but Brutus Blue-Cap is my favourite, gotta love those 'stars'.
 :-* :-*

Thanks, Paul. I am happy you like them.
The star field on the Wizard's Cap is one of the things that I enjoy doing...it is a recurring theme with my Goblins & others.

DeafNala
, they're that kind of miniatures and scenery that, when put on a game table, makes the other players dumb for staring all the time at all those wonderful little details and painting effects!  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

BUT somehow I still have hope that one day you take them to a game convention near you! To make all the other players dumb, of course!  ;)

BTW: the GF says she loves your mushrooms! And, since she's a Glock girl, she's not afraid of them! :D
(she's also pretty good with knives, but that's another story...)

Thanks for another thoughtful reply, dino. I really am happy you & The Girl like my stuff. My scenery might be more dangerous than the enemy gangs.
We'll have to get The Girl some Mushrooms of her own.

We'll have to get The Girl some Mushrooms of her own.

She has a small ranch near a national park in the altitude fields of Santa Catarina State - very cold and snowy in the winter (a record of -1.3 Fahrenheit/-18,5 Celsius a few years ago) but with lots of edible mushrooms (and not so edible Amanitas) in the araucaria forests in spring and summer!  :)
(And as I've already told you: Saint Glock protects us in our mushroom hunting trips! ;))

The fungal mob is looking magnificent in full display. A nice touch with the colour cap themes fit to their roles in the mob.

That looks a little to chilly for mushroom hunting for me...there might be a nice, cozy cave though.

Thanks for the reply & the original idea for the Lads(?), Fram. I am delighted you like them & their setting.

Thanks for the kind reply, Schrumpkopf...glad you like them. The positive feedback is appreciated.

About 22 miles (36 km) from where I live: not just a nice and cozy cave, but a nice and cozy cave with a view to the sea!  ;)

Unfortunately no mushrooms, only the occasional deceased tourist washed up by the tide...  :D

(some of the natives like to hunt tourists for sport and food, but that's another story...)

All too true sadly.

And someone also with a Southener, I am curious: are you able to game much?

DeafNala, I am a very lucky guy!  :D  Please feel free to come by whenever you want - maybe we can get you addicted to playing miniature games and napping under a beach umbrella!  ;)

I am very fortunate to have the same game group of 4 dearest friends for 30+ years now; even living in separate cities nowadays, we somehow manage to get together and play once every month at least. And I am also very fortunate to have a very enthusiastic gamer GF and her gorgeous and very funny friends - The Vampire Supermodels - to game every week (a Gothic Horror with a modern twist RPG heavy on miniatures action).  :)

And thanks to Vampifan, we're planning a Judge Dread Miniatures Game campaign for the near future...  ;)

The Mushroom Wizard seems to be the favorite of those commenting here & on other Fora.
I am glad you like him, beefcake. Thanks for the reply!

Did I mention that you'll have to rappel a cliff of 40ft to reach that cave?  ;)
