IMHO, every time a girl suits our place it's a good thing!  :D

This is true. Having a girl who fits right in is a WONDROUS thing

The colors AND your painting style!  :-*

But I also like very much your minis in the "grayscale" stage as well! I am planning something like that to suit my new "left handed" painting style in the near future!  ;)

Thanks again, gino. The white over black does suit a wash & dry brush technique, which you might find easier to do left handed.
Where there is a will there is a way. Michael Perry adapted to sculpting left handed. I'd bet you could too; re, you have the passion for the craft.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Re: The Last Hurrah Project: 09/21/17 Mostly Dead Quixote

SO YET ANOTHER idea is whirling around in the Work In Progress Plane of Existence. One of the Fellow from the Reaper Forum has a character in his story based project that is an undead Captain with an equally undead horse.
This appealed to me & the image of a Living Impaired Quixote with his decomposing Rocinante formed in my imagination. I did have a Mordheim Free Lancer that born a striking resemblance to the Don. After some thought...& the accompanying burning smell... I remembered I had an Old Skeletal Citadel Steed in The Vault. Here's wher the Revenant & a still-kicking Free Lanver stand/ride as of now:

Now I am base coating the Lads & continuing to detail the bases.
I wonder if I could come up with the parts to do a Mostly Dead Sancho Panza.

Not much I love more than Don Quixote.... carry on! Carry on!

A windmill would be THE ULTIMATE build for me...I don't think I'm quite up to it...yet.
I am glad you like the idea. We will see how well it turns out.

Don Quixote is the ideal hero to my mind. Only Cyrano comes close to equaling him.

Love Don Quixote, both in text and your miniature form!  :-* I have had the same Mordheim range mini for years, have not dared to paint him yet.

As a sidenote, and most likely you saw this already when this was news about year or so ago, but nevertheless interesting tidbit... there was (perhaps) a real life inspiration for the character of Don Quixote:

Thanks you for the reply & the link, pocoloco. I am delighted you like the miniature thus far.
This will be the third or fourth time I've done the Free Lancer. The others were for friends. It isn't the easiest of pieces to do, but it has a tremendous amount of charm & character...just like Quixote. I hope the practice make it more perfect.

DeafNala, the "windmill" doesn't have to be a complex piece of scenery; you can think of Quixote's nemesis as a badass knight with some simple "windmill" identification, like an elaborate helmet and heraldry!  ;)

...maybe after I finish painting The Blight.

Thanks, Tobias. I think they both have promise. I'm looking forward to their completion also.

SO I thought a few photos of the things on the worktable might be motivating for me & entertaining for you.
Taking the long view of the stuff:

Seen here with a plant, the Hobbity conversion & Reaper's Ringmaster Sophie. Sophie is destined to be part of a West Wind Circus Troupe that look like they will go well with the Grymkin minis I have been unable to resist. She's on the table for a wing repair job:

The Steam Punk Robots are waiting patiently for attention...Robots are good at waiting patiently:

AND all the things that have been recently based or are about to be based:

After I took these pics I went looking for something in The Vault. The amount of things I have underway or still in their blister packs/boxes/loose is staggering. With SO MUCH to do, I think a nap is in order.
