Yes, all these experiments in trying alternate mushroom shapes are exciting and interesting to watch and see how they turn out!

Thanks, Fram. I have going through all the wonderful photos in my Mushroom books. There should be quite a variety of things popping up...in one way or another.

In the meanwhile here is the VERY FIRST of the Bad Morels wrapped up; AND HERE HE IS:

See here with The Devils' Cup & Leo Sizechek for a size check...I'll bet you figured that out all by yourself:

AND sans Leo, he of fleet foot & faint heart:

I also took a LOT OF PHOTOS of The Devil's Cup in the Spooky Woods that I will post whenever. In the interim here is a preview:

Until whenever.

...more to come...eventually.

About 3 Am the other day an idea for something new popped into my head & woke me up. The how-to ideas followed suit every so often that night & the next. SO I made the dolly for the Thingy this morning:

There you have an Early Morning Bug thus far.

Well! You changed gear, I see!
I would like to stand a little to your magic Spooky Forest... Every pic from a new angle, reveals one more aspect of your endless imagination!
You have included tons of optical information, a camera lens cannot catch all!
Going through this forest must be a very adventurous undertaking!
If it hasn't come to your attention, I include a link for the stone mushrooms of Thrace

...numerous megalithic natural rock formations that resemble mushrooms. In some cases, these structures have been modified by human intervention to increase their fungal likeness. In addition to these external features of the landscape, certain caves that served as sanctuaries present a fungal likeness in the configuration of their entrances...

Might serve you for a further inspiration!
Cheers!

Thanks for the link, Dinos. Those could be the petrified remains of the giant ancestors of my own Mushrooms...or not.
They are definitely cool & VERY inspiring. I have a couple ideas sprouting already.

Glad you liked it!
I have also an extended article in Greek, that these places were very ancient worshipping sites, I'll try to translate it.

That is a very kind offer...only do it if you have the time & nothing better to do with it, but I would be interested.
AND that is an idea...a Saintly Mushroom.

I knew about it:

But I didn't think of the connection to this thread.

Sculpt looks promising. I sometimes wish you were the lead director in a children's animated show that was broadcast during my youth. I wouldn't be so boring.

I doubt that mine will be that serious, but it is interesting.

Thanks for the kind reply, Paul. I am delighted you are enjoying the trip. AND I haven't noticed an boring traits in you, von Lucky.
I think that once the demands being a responsible grownup were more or less fulfilled that boy who was lurking micro-millimeters below the surface took over.
I may well be a natural for this form of lunacy. It all just seem to happen without much thought. I just follow my imagination & voila. I wonder what Tim Burton would do with this.

Between staring at the playoff games & an unscheduled trip to distant Bee Cave, not much of any consequence got done.
I started on a new, probably spooky tree:

The Cootie got some green stuffing:

AND the Bad Morels got some color:

Tomorrow I am off to even-more-distant Temple to see my audiologist. Tuesday may see some progress...or not.
