I think you are right, depending if seen from a different angle! Your sculpts can change expressions also!

That is something I have noticed also. What the expression really is is up to the viewer. Different Folk will find different things in each expression. This adds to the story telling possibilities.

At a petting zoo when my eldest son, Chris, was a little guy. He spotted an ostrich & enthusiastically proclaimed: "Look, Daddy...a duck!".

When my youngest was about 5 he saw a fox for the first time and exclaimed, "a kangaroo"

Nice to come back to the boards after a hiatus and see my favorite long term project is still going strong. Nice work! Especially relevant in October!

Great progress as usual. My two year old loved looking at the trees with faces. She did impressions of them and smiled alot too!

So, if on Christmas Eve my wife will say we have turkey on mushrooms for dinner,

A kangafox might be an interesting conversion. I have been thinking of a snake-hare for awhile.

If you eat the mushrooms first, whatever the bird is will taste delicious...even though it seems to be glowing.
It could make opening the presents more exciting.
