Masterful work. If I was a young 'un I would beg to be an apprentice in your studio!

But I'm old and will just have to sit here and admire you work.

Thanks for yet another kind reply, von Lucky. I am happy you like The Girl.
Chances are, if I can do it, you can too. I just get a LOT of practice.

Re: The Last Hurrah Project: 01/03/18 The Tree & The Butterfly

There is a reason for just about everything; at least, everything that isn't politically motivated. The Tree has crossed eyes. The reason is he has a butterfly on his nose; the butterfly concept was canuckotter's (one of the nicest of Reaper Forumites).
SO I got a butterfly punch, made & painted said butterfly, AND attached it to the Tree's nose.
The finished Tree:

A better look at the Butterfly:

AND the local Mushrooms:

Now wasn't that fun?

AND now The Mushroom Witch & The Tree (she looks more like a Witch than a Mage; ergo, the name change):

This may be a turning point in my mini making...whatever that means.

I have always been freaked out by the Fungi Kingdom. You've taught me to be more tolerant.

And the he Mushroom Witch & The Tree are beautiful.

...there is something creepy about standing near a Mushroom that seems to have a face & is about your height. Having it strike up a conversation adds to that feeling immeasurably.
Thanks for the kind reply, von Lucky. I am happy you like the latest bit of insanity.

Wow, she looks great... even majestic? That's a new adjective for your mushroom crowd!

It's amazing how inexhaustible these mushrooms seems to be. You'd think they'd eventually become repetitive, but no, there's always a new and interesting one around the corner.

Thanks, Fram! Majestic is a first. I am happy you like the Girl.
I picked up a couple of wonderfully illustrated reference manuals on mushrooms, AND my friend, Lazetta, keeps making inspirational finds. The variety of mushrooms is staggering. If I were to do even a small percentage with varying personalities, I could stay very busy for much more time than I have left. I fully intend to make an impression on the list though.
