Yesterday I managed to get the base white over black coat on The King:

While I was at it, I tried out W.I.P. The King on the W.I.P. Photo Stage:

Until later...whenever that is.

The Divine Miss Mags is finally getting colorful:

There is something appealing about doing larger pieces.

What a beauty  :-*

And the king fits well into your photo stage, by the way  ;)

Thanks, Tobias. After staring at her for quite awhile, I am pretty happy with the way she's going.
She may be the all time snappiest looking trash heap.

I figured while the stage & the King were both in black & white I would try a shot together. I looks like a moonlit night scene.

Oooh, liking the blending on the colours you've got so far!

And when the mushrooms will be painted, the whole picture will be a real kaleidoscope, I'm sure!
I get crazy with Mag's cute nose mushroom and shelf mushrooms for eyebrows! Cheers!

That's an amazing piece - brilliant stuff!

A full-sized gaming table covered in your myconic madness would be a sight to behold (and the cause, no doubt, of a suite of Call of Cthulhu-style sanity checks ...].

That is an advantage of the larger size; i.e., blending is easier. I can do a highlight while the base color is still wet & have them flow together.
It is a more enjoyable process as well. I'm trying to get psyched for the stage. That, in turn, might prep me for The Blight.
Thanks for the reply, Fram.

I did the eyebrow shelf mushrooms, the nose mushroom, & a couple of others. The additional colors add to the overall Wonderland effect nicely.
It conjures up Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit.
Thanks for the reply, Dinos.

The original set of boards make a long slim gaming table with a coup of gaps between the Heep's/Spooky Woods & the Witches' Isles, Village, & Graveyard with The Blight & Rapunzel's Tower off somewhere to the North. I occasionally eye the never used 6' X 6' hexagonal gaming table as a Mushroom Kingdom Board. If I was younger it would be tempting.
All that aside, I am happy you like the stuff, Hobgoblin. Thanks for the reply.

I kept plugging away until around seven or eight last night. This is where Mags stood at the end of the day:

...more photos as things progress...probably.

Thanks, Doc...glad you like them. I wasn't sure how they would turn out, but just about anything goes with a trash heap.

The side & back mushroom were pulled early this morning for the "you-can't-there-from-here" factor.
It paid off; i.e., the two Tall Mushrooms are now done & replanted:

Dashing looking, eh?.

"you-can't-there-fro-here"

The place referred to is very remote and the route hard to describe
The problem described is insoluble

One more reason I'm grateful to LAF, as it helps me to enrich my vocabulary  lol
Dashing they are and me thinks ready for quarrel! Mags got her watchful bodyguards!
