I have been drawing inspiration from my visits to Pinterest. This is an idea I'd like to do in miniature. The illustration is by James Christensen:

This is the basis for the conversion, a Safari Ltd. White Rhino from the Michael's in Darkest, Distant Bee Cave:

Distractions may not be good for productivity, but they do make life more exciting.

Wow that's a new one! Neat! Can't to see how your version of that would shape up.

It was one of those things that I just had to try. It probably will either take awhile or become an obsession that has to be done post haste.
I am looking forward to developments with bated breath myself.

You didn't, did you...

...no not yet. We will see how well he bases up.

Those are cool, imaginative little characters. The bearded fellow is a piece I would like to try to make a version of my own. They are pretty pricey pieces.
Thanks for the pics & the links, Fram. I am a bit out of touch with new releases; I don't shop around much anymore.

Yes, I think an old cracked-top mushroom or a shaggy stem would both be variants of mushroom you haven't done before.

The more myconids, the merrier...

The variety of different mushrooms is staggering. Some don't readily lend themselves to personalization, but there are SO many that do.
I have developed quite a portfolio of types on Pinterest, & my two handbooks are wonderfully motivating.

That REALLY is an inspiring tree. It has a Salvador Dali potential...maybe Picasso.
Thanks for the photo, HerbyF! That is the first I have seen of this tree.

Also looking forward to the Rhino.

The Tree is something I will have to try. It could be a multiple personality thing, like the Nightmare Cap Mushroom.
The Rhino is now based. I extended & curved his horn, AND started on the armor. The body in James Christensen's illustration is shorten or, at least, shorter than the miniature rhino; it makes for a slightly different look.
Thanks for the kind replies, Tactalvanic & beefcake. I hope you like the Beasty once completed.

Thanks for stopping by & leaving a reply, Brummie Thug! I am glad you like the stuff. The Trees are fun to do; at this stage in the game, I stick to what is fun.

The green stuff work is progressing slowly, but progressing nonetheless:

The basic idea remains the same, but I am making it more my own.
