This is the last of the Pointy Cap Mushrooms in The Box:

Seen here with his Brethren & their smaller kin:

Now on to making bases while I paint up the remaining Mushrooms in The Box...a nap may be in order.

A nap is always in order.

Though it might not be very restful if you take it under the watchful eyes of those purple fellows...

The nap never happened...at least, not yet. I did get some organizing done in my Pinterest account.

As I am painting up the Mushrooms, the finished ones are getting based. These were done this morning:

With a couple of Group pics:

Looking great!

Incidentally, I think you could probably leave the thread title update text as "More mushrooms" forever and be largely fine.  lol

Thanks for the reply, Fram...glad you like the stuff. It does seem that Mushrooms are about all I am doing. Hopefully I will be branching out soon.
AND later the same day another pair appears...so to speak:

That is a wrap.

Apart from commenting for what you are putting ON the bases -and I have so many times highly commented your creations-
I have forgotten to comment that I like the texturing and groundwork of your bases!

Thanks for the reply, Dinos. I am happy you like the bases. Doing bases is a favorite with me.
I use craft sand for the groundwork, & fine turf for the moss all over sculpted plumber's epoxy putty.
Any specific question on how to dos will be gladly answered.

Awesome! Particularly the Bad Morrel. Looks like he is about to pull a serious boogie move!

In many dioramas one may see a fine paintjob on the main object and a poor base.
A base with interesting details enhances its beauty, it suffices not to catch the eye of the viewer away from the main object.
Fine turf and also the contrasts you give make the base worthy of its main object.
I haven't worked with plumber's epoxy putty...
Be sure I will ask you questions on how to dos in due time  :)

A nicely done base sets the miniature in a time & place, giving it a story to tell. It adds a narrative to the scene.
With the moss: I do the first layer with hot glue for height, then another level attached with super glue.

I know that your Shrooms are dangerous, but I did not know that they were 'combustible' too!
