She wants a word or two with the Rat Hunters.

Boy howdy, is she livid!

She is slightly less vivid in reality, but then what isn't?

The sewer texture looks very realistic. The rat hunters and the Mama rat are lovely.

The Girl isn't quite as garish as she appears in the retouched photos. In the untouched pic she is a little paler than in reality. Reality being somewhere between the two:

Yesterday I painted up one of the WizKids Kegs. While I was at it I dug out an Armorcast Small Dwarven Keg. The thing lacked a back; i.e., it was probably meant to be put against a wall or stood up straight. SO I made a stand for it, & made a back. That's when I decided to give it a Devil/Demon face like the keg in my Goblin Village: Demon Rum. Then I added a tail.

The Guards are from Reaper (Dwarf) & Dark Hold/Rebel Miniatures (Goblin). This is how a little piece can escalate to a full blown project.
Today I finished the Wizard, seen here in the Spooky Woods:

Thus far things have been moving along nicely.

The Guards are coming out nice and the Demon Rum when painted will be a must-see!
And, oh well, the Wizard!  :-*
What a figure! and your paintjob has started skyrocketing!!!
More closeups of the Wizard, pleeeeaseeee!

Thanks once more for a kind reply, Dinos. I am glad you like the Wizard & stuff. I will see what I can do about more pics of the Wizard. He is
Reaper's 03393 Vistari Quillscratcher. I think he looks a lot like one of my old PC/NPC characters. Neighbor Tom thinks he looks like me.
I am mulling over the base for the Demon Rum & Guards; i.e., individually mounted or diorama. That shouldn't slow don the painting, however.

I have a bigger screen at home and I'm enjoying your Devil's Rum sculpt!
It says a lot!

...more than once I have wished my screen was smaller. I am delighted the sculpt holds up in an enlarged format.
Thanks for the reply, Dinos. The morale boost is appreciated.

Love what you did with the keg  :-* :-* and your bright painting is always a treat! I think that your project pretty much defines "staying the course"

Ha, the keg is great.

Nice painting on the Wizard too. Trying to recall who makes him... I'm SURE I've seen him before.

Thank you for the kind reply, marianas_gamer. I am happy you like the Demon Rum Keg. Giving things that normally are faceless faces is my thing.
I started the project with the idea of sticking with what I loved. It made consistency a snap.

The Wizard is Reaper's 03393 Vistari Quillscratcher. I've had him based up & ready to paint for awhile. I am glad you like him & the keg.
Thanks for the reply, Fram.

Yesterday I played around with bases. The Demon Rum was painted . I decided to base it for gaming with Fast Flo's Fun House Crew:

There was only enough room for the Goblin. The Dwarf will appear elsewhere:

I got a free Reaper Owl Bear with my last order. He is done in their new Black Bones plastic:

The base might be a little too large:

I am not a fan of Bones at all, but this new stuff is a nice, hard plastic. It holds a fine level of detail, requires no scrubbing, & there were no mold lines to clean I did a black wash over the mini after the pics were taken. It took the paint splendidly.
