It took a couple of days, but the new buildings now have roofs. I let the clay dry for a day or two; then they will get a coat of workable fixative & the white over black treatment:

Slowly getting there...wherever that is.

The clay roofs have the advantage to be worked quickly and shaped in a similar style with any other building you already have.
Nice job there!

They; the roofs that is, are wonderfully messy. That appeals to my inner child.
I am happy you like them, Dinos. Thank you for the reply!

Wonderfully messy would definitely fit your world's esthetic.  A very lively organic colorful sort of place.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, syrinx0. I am trying for a setting that captures the imagination & spins tales through the viewers imagination. Colorful is part of the process as is messy.

With the groundwork well underway, the place is starting to look more colorful:

AND some toxic waste for good measure:

More later...or not.

Hey! Looking good!

Love that sewage drain!

Love your tile groundwork, consistent with your older buildings.
Love the sewage drain, too! An original concept and eager to see it painted!

Thanks, Fram...glad you like it.
How true. Love & sewage drain are rarely linked in a phrase. The sewage does, however, contribute significantly to The Swamp's unique bouquet.

I have gotten into a pattern/rut with my ground colors. It makes for consistency if nothing else. I am happy you like it, Dinos.
I painted up the sewage goop shortly after the photos were taken. It is an unhealthy looking glowing green.

It did look suitably unhealthy without the paint. I just can't resist painting everything.
