The latest base for the Mushroom Forest is done. As always, the camera pointed ou a spot or two that would benefit from a touch up. The Mushrooms will be prettier in the eventual group pics.

Great variety on that base. Love the little gilled buggers growing off the taller one. The innocuous little beige ones make the florid ones stick out even more, too, while somehow looking sinister on their own.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I am trying for a certain surrealistic look to the Night Goblin terrain that gives off colorful but creepy vibes. The terrain is probably more dangerous than the Night Goblins.
All that aside, I a happy you like the piece.

Very nice! The dark purple on top transitioning to a bright red is really eye-catching and really works to give a sense of a world that is magical. Good stuff!

Thanks for the kind reply, Frugalmax. I am glad you enjoyed the post. One of the pluses of working with somewhat larger pieces is there is a lot of room for blending. More to come eventually!

Couldn't praise your work more than what Fram and Frugalmax said! They have an eerie look, indeed!

I finished the first stalagmite base today...it was a struggle:

It did turn out reasonably well though.

Since these are for Friend Justin's Warhammer Night Goblin vs Dwarves underground game board, they are set up with cavern/rock bases. They did get me planning a Cavern photo stage. I have all sorts of ideas for the stage now; some may actually be good ideas.

I haven't seen you making stalagmites before, very interesting, and although in light colors they are adding eeriness to the whole set!

Thanks, Dinos. Justin wanted his base rocks to be fairly dark. I did the stalagmites in more natural pale colors in contrast. I agree they do add an eerie feel to the piece which seems appropriate.

oh yeah, love the Stalagmite base.

Thanks, Blggard! I am delighted you love it.
