Thanks, rob; I appreciate your commentary.
NOW you'll have to post your own Goblins. I, for one, would love to see them...we Goblin Guys have to stick together.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Rather BIG shrooms eh?

Thanks, Guys! This is proving to be the most enjoyable project I've thus far worked on; having it so well accepted is a real plus.
The Mushrooms took over my life quite awhile ago. The biggest one so far is The Mushroom Tower which is just under 30" tall.

This REALLY is proving to be addictive. Be that as it may, here are three more reason to believe I severed the last of my tenuous hold on Reality:

I'm not all that sure what the Little Beasty in the center is, but he was fun to make up. His larges Flora Friends aren't thrilled with the way the neighborhood is going:

As always, your perspective on the Thingies would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

The faces are very original and inspiring! I really like the other world feel you get with them, and fit the whole labyrinth theme very well. I shall have to borrow this idea in the future...
WHAT do you mean I lost!!! I had MORE fun!

Thanks for the kind words. Feel free to take any ideas that you enjoy; imitation is the sincerest form of flattery or so I'm told. That aside, if my stuff gives you the motivation to create your own pieces, then my posts will have served a higher purpose...I hope you have as much fun with the Beasty as I'm having.

Well then, let me pick you brain a little...

I can tell the main trees look to be made from real sections of branches and cork bark. I'm guessing the branches are wire, steel wool, and glue?

I'm definitely going to give these a try myself!

I've been using Pecan branches & Live Oak bark; the Oaks shed their bark periodically. For the "living trees I used raffia covered flora wire from a company called Naturally Wired; this I then coat with plumber's epoxy & sculpt it into rough texture.
The branches & roots are various gauge foral wire, coated & uncoated, that I cover with hot glue. While the glue is still more ore less fluid, I tease it into a rough finish. With the roots it isn't always necessary to do an armature of wire; just build it up with several layers of glue.
The Pecans, in addition to dropping their branches, also bombard me with nuts that make interesting, Body Snatcher style pods.

Perfect!

I'll get my shopping list together. I live near a national forest and will plan a little hike, game terrain expedition for small branches, bark segments and other fun little shapes I can find. I'll be finishing up a warband shortly, and have always wanted to do a fantasy forest. Between your great designs and those I found in the Mordheim section of Iron Hands website, I should be able to create a really over the top fantasy forest.

Glad to be of some help. I get my floral wire, among other things, from Michael's (I think Hobby Lobby carries it also); the Plumber's Epoxy is from True Value & Ace Hardware.

Thanks for the link. That is one UBERSPOOKY Forest. I really like the Bearded Tree Guy; that's an idea that I will unashamedly steal. If you haven't wander over to it yet, Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum is another fine source of inspiration & how-to advice:

Enjoy your project & let me know if I can be of assistance.

This isn't really much of an update, but we do the best we can.
The Little Beasty has been finished. For some reason or other he reminds moi of George Washington; combining that with a nod to the comedian George Gobbel, he's now Lonesome George:

This batch of photos reached new heights of mediocrity, but, be that as it may, your feedback would, as always, be WILDLY APPRECIATED.

Is all looking so great and cohesive now, I'd love to see a big group shot at this stage.

Seconded!

It IS all looking so good that a group shot would be well timed!
