Thanks for the kind commentary!

And thank you for sharing what your secrets are :)

You're most welcome. If you need any "how to" info & I forget to supply it, feel free to ask.

OOPS! I forgot to let you know the Beasty was updated. Sorry about that!

"Of course trees have eyes, didn't you know?" ;)

There's a Pecan Tree out in back of our place that actually looks like it has eyes...on stalks. I'll have to try to get a photo of it/him/her/whatever.

Any chance of getting a sapling from it/him/her/whatever and start growing/nurturing the sapling as a bonsai tree? :)

That might be in the realm of possibilities for some Folk, but I have a Black Thumb. Any form of flora that's left in my care will wither & die in short order. I actually once killed an artificial plant; i.e, it was tragically left in the line of fire of the steaming tea kettle...I always figured that tea was no good for you.

That's quite an achievement there Sir, I do confess that I chuckled a bit :) But I have same sympton of blackthumbness myself... I managed to kill all the cacti that I used to have times ago... nowaydays everything flora related is only done under a tight scrutiny and survaillance of She Who Must Be Obeyed :D

 lol lol lol

Great! Well, my feeling about plants is basically let them grow under the conditions around. If they manage cool, if not I don't shed a tear.

Does your eye-stalk tree move around at night when nobody's watching? Sounds a bit like that...

The tree in the last pic looks as if it just had gleefully rubbed its hands, thinking "Omnomnom, tashty shrooms, I'sh gonna pick thish one an' thish one. Tashty, tashty." I'm not quite sure why, but that particular tree just looks as if it's thinking voice had a funny accent.
Your pics always make me think, if Brothers Grimm teamed up with Dali to form a company offering their services as gardening & landscaping designers the results might be similar.
Some of the pics almost have a strange nostalgic quality but at the same time look a bit like postcards send out of somebody's daydreams, eerie and charming at the same time. The fourth and fifth pic in particular.

Btw even if the comment(s) might sound a little odd, I do mean what I say as compliment.

Thanks for an overwhelming response, Guys...I'm speechless...more or less. Receiving such positive reactions is VERY motivating. I'll try to justify your praise with more strange pieces.

@ink the troll: I also imagine the various faces have distinctive voices/accents...Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, Marty Feldman, & Groucho Marx are among the list. At least I hope I'm imagining the voices.

What ink said: it reminds me of some extremely weird fairy tale wood. Now just imagine Little Red Riding Hood in between... Okay, maybe not quite so Little anymore and me being one of those trees with eyes and then I can move and grab her and do all kinds of weird things... SNAP OUT OF IT!  lol

Thanks for YET MORE kind words, Guys. They are most definitely appreciated!

Now this is my idea of Red the Riding Hood:

Nice to see we're on the same page.

And that last tree is just DAMNED SCARY!

I don't think you'd find too many people spreading their picnic blanket under his branches...that might be am interesting vignette though.
Here's a more front on photo:

Still pretty scary. I think it's the eyes.

Look at all those faces  :o :o :o You've got them climbing up the trees and even on top. Marvelous.  :-* :-*

This is delightful and it is more true to the tales of the Brothers Grimm than anything Disney made. The world of the Fae is deadly and not to be trifled with. You've caught the true essence of Faerie Tales here.  :-* :-* :-*
