I am now on page 22 and I really love your work.

It kinda remainds of this....

Growing up in the 70th in a country where the 70th really where the 70th, this is a good example of the kinda cartoons I grew up with.

Much older I look back on the childrens tv-shows and cartoons there was and I think to myself: What on earth had they been smoking?

And I now have to ponder, have you been smoking those mushrooms?  ;)

Thanks, Guys!

The lunatic is awersome... great eyes!

What's the source for both of those figures? I was wondering if anyone made faeries of the "half-insect" variety.

This variety of Faerie is in AD&D called a Grig or some such thing. The ones I'm doing are from Reaper:

The Flighty Wenches are available in a 9 mini pack or separately.

The Loony is a West Wind's Goblin Hero. Due to the lack of photos I can't direct you to the pack he's in though.

I am now on page 22 and I really love your work.

Thanks again for the kind words. You'll find that things get progressively stranger although more focused as you go through the thread.
Cartoon-wise, I think my stuff is mostly Tim Burton & Bugs Bunny with a healthy mix of Jim Henson & Labyrinth for good measure...some of the stranger stuff may be totally original.
It's been awhile since I did any interesting smoking. The last mind altering mushrooms I encountered were I think at Woodstock or a Jefferson Airplane concert...both were a long time ago. Of course, flashbacks are a possibility.

I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Actually being a part of a significant event was a unique & memorable experience. I'm still surprised I went...seemed like a good idea at the time.

If you want demon fairies, Reaper do some great imps (in case you haven't already got some).... actually  after writing this I think I might have seen some in your posts already.... my memory is not so great....

This may be a post to win the most useless post award.... oh well...

Thanks for the Reaper tip, maxxev, I'll check for them. The Imps I posted/painted are from Wyrd's Twisted Range...they only make three.
I'm thinking of getting some of Reaper's Faerie Wings & Bat Wings to be combined with the 6th Edition Goblins for Goblin Faerie Folk.

They are cool little suckers...next time I get paid perhaps. It would give me an excuse for getting the wings.

My recent splurge on Insulation Foam Squares has created a Motivated Monster. One of the ideas is finally mounting up the Isles of Langerhans on a single board with an eventual extension for the Smugglers' Ships. This is the present arrangement of the Isles:

There will be connecting walkways at various levels, shiny water spots, marsh grass, & the occasional tentacle.
As always comments are most welcome...for the most part.

Thanks, Za! You are too kind, but feel free to remain so...my self esteem can always stand a bit of a boost. I wish my abilities could keep up with my imagination...actually that could be somewhat on the scary side.

Really nice, I love the fantastical look and the attention to detail - the miniature world you have created is just stunning!

Thanks, Cyber...I'm glad you are enjoying The Project.
I've got the first coat of unhealthy-looking greenish brown down on the board; then I'll hit it with a spray coat & splotch it up...I love technical jargon.

:-* Awesome! I love the look! I can picture oily, bubbly goo smoldering on that insulation foam. Are there closer pictures of that face-in-the-rock on the left? And are those burning faggots everywhere? I just love seeing all these fantastical details.

Can't wait for more pics!

Oh, Yes!

This is certainly going to look the business when complete.
A wonderful, natural progression to link all those lovely, characterful islands together.

Get to it, man.
Get to it!
 :D

(You may have noticed that I am a little enthused by this.... ;))
