Thanks for the kind reply, hjorhrafn! I'm glad you are enjoying The Project. I'm in it for the fun...I doubt I'm capable of anything approaching serious & reality is an alien concept for moi.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Mushrooms & Signs sound almost prophetic. Other than adding a couple of the last details to the Shanty Town the only omen is the start of a new board or two...possibly three. Be that as it may, here are a couple of now anticlimactic photos:

The All Seeing Yenta Snoop's Place:

The Drop of the Pure Tavern (purveyor of Holigan's Hooch):

AND a personable Mushroom by the Downtown Shabby Arms:

As details are added to the Isles & the Shanty Town further photos will be added. The Graveyard, Catacombs, & an old W.I.P. loom on the horizon...well they're sitting anxiously by/on my work table to be more accurate & less dramatic.
Comments & critiques are, as always, most welcome.

Can't wait!

I do believe that there is more personality in this one project that in all the minis releases of 2013 combined.

Can't wait!

I can't either...SO I started on the Graveyard. Thus far just fixing some dings along the edges & touching up the black trim, but it's underway. I have a couple of ideas for characters to wander the boards, some pieces for photo backgrounds, etc. roiling around my brain & disturbing all that dust.

I do believe that there is more personality in this one project that in all the minis releases of 2013 combined.

Thanks for the compliment...I'll give it my best shot living up to it.

Hahaha, a gypsy fortune tellers house! That's awesome. Beware the curse, beware!! Hahaha.

I could just imagine figs that get close enough have to roll to see if they were cursed and suffer negative effects that round. ;)

The details are superb, and Fram is right! More character, charm, and intrigue than anything else.

Cheers
Matt

Thanks for the kind & motivating reply, Matt! That's quite a jolt of motivation.
I think an early over exposure to the Marx Brothers & Bugs Bunny is to blame for it all. That aside I'll try to keep it amusing & entertaining as I go along.

It's not The Restless Dead or the Dancing Dead for that matter...just moi. I just finished fabricating & priming the crumbling retaining wall in the Graveyard. SO here are a few of W.I.P. photos:

SO it's a underway...may I have an "OH BABY!"?
Your comments & critiques would brighten my day...which speaks worlds as to my social life.

I'd paint the sand/earthen ramp more like brownish. It should differ from the stones.
Otherwise it's nice!

That black & dry brushed white is only my primer coat. I should have said W.I.P. & not "finished"...someday I'll learn...or not. The ground will match up to the other boards; I'm not sure how I'll go with the stonework yet.

All that aside, thanks for the reply, GS! I'm glad you like it & I'll fix the intro to the photos to avoid further confusion.

If I were about to build an underground labyrinth under a board I spent hours doing I'd need more than a "ooh baby" to keep going. But since it's you...

Ooh baby that's a cracking start! More more more!!

Cheers

Thanks, Matt! I'm easily motivated or, rather, enthused...not to mention distracted.

You're welcome!

The stonework looks a lot like clay bricks to me. That would suggest some reddish tone for them. Maybe something like what we call "Klinker" in northern Germany:

As you notice, the bricks are in various states of baking. Some burnt, some not so.
You might know that from the british isles as well. We tend not to have enough field stones where I live to build houses ord walls from.

Cheers
GS
