While I'm waiting for the Green Stuff to dry, I though posting a couple of progress photos might be in order to maintain interest...whose interest is another matter. I've been doing up a couple of Mausoleums. Initially I was thinking of adding a Mordheim Gargoyle from G.W.; after a moment of thought, I decided to do my own...the plastic part was just too twinky.

So here's how the board looks so far:

AND a look at the Green Stuffing (the Fellow to the right is Seedy Jon Apfel, Serial Killer & Man About Town):

Seedy Jon is a combination of G.W.Empire Militia & Zombie parts with a Lead Adventure Mini head. His kill signature is a discarded apple core or two.

As always I would be delighted to hear your comments & critiques...for the most part.

I like the stone work DeafNala, especially the crumbling retaining wall. The mausoleums look spot on for size and shape.

The cemeteries I have been to have large statues of angels/mary, and lots of crosses. Perhaps you could put a perverted/scary looking angel in somewhere?

The gargoyle looks a little flat, but he has a cute face. Does he need protruding canine teeth and a deeper snout?

Just my 2 cents Deafnala, but you were fishing for ideas, so if you dont like em, throw them back in the sea of imagination. :D

Cheers
Matt

...or whatever the locals use besides/instead of crosses.  :D

Love the crumbly look so far. Can't wait to see things with a lick of colour on 'em. Is the apple-core killer due for more paint or is he supposed to be white like that?

Thanks for the feedback, Matt. Actually the Gargoyle is probably a misnomer...he was meant to be a more substantial version of the rather small & flat leering face that G.W. made for a Mordheim building decoration...there will, however, be things coming out of the walls. I think I'll do the fangs you suggested on the next face...later today.

The cemetery opposite my Grandma's house was an old one like you described...full of Angels & elaborate gravestones...a GREAT hide-&-seek spot. I'll be shooting for something similar with a few dead &/or creepy trees thrown in for good measure.

Thanks, Fram...glad you like it so far.

I have a couple sets of Renedra Gravestones..SO there will be some traditional graveyard pieces, although somewhat modified.
I'm looking forward to the painting also. Seedy Jon is just primed other than some initial work on the base.

I managed to finish the sculpt & prime of the second Face-Above-The-Crypt-Door. SO without further ado here are some photos of dubious quality of the second mausoleum:

As always your kind comments & critiques would be most welcome...mostly.

Looking good so far. I assume there are several other parts to paint yet?

Thanks, Fram. This is merely the base coat; the colors come next.

I like the addition of the fangs and horns. He looks as if he's about to drool on the unwary passer-by seeking shelter from the rain.

It seems that I missed a couple of updates...how rude!

Still, I did then get the bonus of extra piccies to keep my interest.
This is starting to come together really well, Al.
Full of that distinct 'DeafNala look'.
 :-* :-*

I like what you did with Seedy John too.
He is going to be a very interesting character when he is done, and should fit int the neighbourhood perfectly.

Thanks, Jevenkah! I like the drool idea...maybe I could do a puddle by the door.

Thanks, Paul! With all the projects you have going missing a post or two is understandable....getting some sleep is occasionally necessary.
I think that Seedy Jon has possibilities. He would also fit in a couple of different gaming types.

Haha haha  lol

That face is brilliant. A scary looking creature with his horns and fangs, and a look of 'somethings going to blow' upon his face due to the different sized eyes.

I'm looking forward to the progress sir.

Thanks MUCHO, Matt...that's the reaction I was hoping for! The Project has come to the point where each new addition gives me an idea for another. SO hopefully there will be lots of strange little additions in the near & distant future.
