Wow it looks really great! The atmosphere is amazing already at the graveyard!
Look forward to Seedy John sneaking trough the streets.. and maybe see some discarded apples....

My pleasure! I'm delighted my creations are brightening your day. AND, thanks for letting me know. My stuff really is comic by intent; I'll try to have something new & silly for you each time you stop by.

I dig the gargoyle.  He fits in well, and I can't help but be reminded of a scene from "Labyrinth."  Another excellent piece of work.

Thanks for all the GREAT replies, Guys...that's a fine dose of motivation!

Wow it looks really great! The atmosphere is amazing already at the graveyard!

Thanks, LordOdo! I'm happy with the feel of the place. The surreal effect creates a slightly disturbing, spooky feel with out being overtly horrifying.

As I may have mentioned, my friend, Ben aka floedebolle, sent me an apple core mold. SO I've cranked out 14 apple cores with two that have been sucked into the Ethereal Plane & three uneaten, home grown apples. A couple will go on Seedy Jon's base & the rest scattered at the crime scenes.
The idea for the name came from the American Folk Hero Johnny Apple Seed, I just switched the parts around & got the German word for apple; voila, Seedy Jon Apfel is born...so to speak.

;D dubious huh? with all due respect..."bite my shiny metal butt"

Thanks, Gun bunny. Actually the deprecating "dubious" remark is just a reference to my hit & miss photography methods. I usually blame the whole thing on my Demonically Possessed Camera. That aside, I'm glad you're enjoying The Project. I'm rather surprise how well it's all coming together.

Very Disney-esque; it's like being at The Haunted Mansion!  lol

Thanks, grant. Disney's backgrounds are works of art, especially in some of his older films, to my mind. Any comparison to them & my pieces is quite a compliment.

I dig the gargoyle.  He fits in well, and I can't help but be reminded of a scene from "Labyrinth."  Another excellent piece of work.

Thanks, hjorhrafn. I love Jim Henson work in Labyrinth. The similarities are intended. I'm grateful they turned out well enough to be recognizable.

I went through my twig collection yesterday & found the perfect, I hope, dead tree to add to the Graveyard. SO soon it may be perched above the crumbling retaining wall.

AND NOW the first painted piece for the Graveyard, Marley's Crypt:

The long view:

Zooming in...

AND inside a trap door & could that be an apple core?:

As is my habit, your comments & critiques are once more requested.

LOVE the trapdoor. I am however confused by the apple core. It looks like a squashed apple and not this:

You're missing the side view. From the top, your key chain would look like my apple core, &, conversely, from the side my apple core looks like you key chain. SO, just because you're such a fine fellow, here's a side view of a few more apple cores & a couple of yet-to-be-bitten apples:

Amazing!

Thanks again, Fram. I have another trap door underway in one of the mausoleums. Getting them to match up with ladders/stair in the Catacombs may be a bit tricky.

Thanks, Gun bunny! The apple cores are from a mold my friend Ben, aka floedebolle, made & send to me...he's VERY talented.
