Another lovely addition to the project. Love Mungo Hammertoe and Bob, but Spooks the Talking Wonder Skull is such a great name he has to appear in a game sometime. I will gleefully be stealing that name, and thank you as ever for the inspiration.

Fantastic piece! I'd say you put your own touch quite nicely on the Talking Wonder Skull.

Nice dental work on Mungo! All that hair and fur looks great on him. And using some unfortunate adventurer's beat up shield as an armguard is a neat detail.

Anything that spooks your mushrooms is a scary piece indeed!

Thanks, Jevenkah...a post isn't complete without your ever kind comments.
I had those two Reaper minis kicking around for quite awhile. Finishing them was a release of sorts. The piece has a nice story telling quality to it, which was what I was trying for...it's nice when these things work out.
The Mushroom could be concerned about the way Mungo is swinging around that Big Bone/Club...the proximity of Mongo's foot in these pre-Odor Eater days might be a contributing factor to his unease as well.

Thanks, redshadows! I'm glad you are enjoying The Project.
I hadn't really considered an all Mushroom Forest, but now that you mentioned it that does sound good. Towering Mushrooms with clinging vines & strange green vegetation has a certain appeal. I feel a new Board coming on...thanks for the idea!

Lavish as anything and easily your grandest figure yet!

Best take care though - if Mungo goes for a stroll in the Park, take care he doesn't get lost ;)

(he started out as a silly looking skull that I couldn't figure out how to make into something serious; SO I made him sillier)

That's EXACTLY the way to go.  :D :D :D

Thanks, Fram! This is one of those rare cases where the reation I'm getting is better that the relief of finishing. I may have gotten a tad carried away, but everything does seem to fit together nicely.

Bob the Ox, being the brains of the outfit is in charge of travel plans AND the designated driver.
I have to get a photo of Bob's face; it's quite expressive...for a bovine creature that is.

That's EXACTLY the way to go.  :D :D :D

I may chose the less traveled path, but it is the one with all the good one liners. SILLY IS THE WAY!

Thanks for the kind comments, weismaonsters! I hadn't realized that there were so many views...there must be a LOT of folks that have Mushroom infested nightmares.

I was making a rather terrible pun there, but I think it was probably quite a bit too obscure for anyone to notice.

It all comes clear to be now...for the most part. As a fellow obscure reference/pun type I can feel your pain. With some of the stuff I've come up with over the years, shooting it over someones head can be a blessing.

Yes, poor old vanished Mungo.

He who inspired John Barrow to send more than a few Royal Navy boys (poor sods who were desperate for promotion, not all of whome were entirely sane) to the middle of the desert, on that wonderful early-Victorian logic that equated deserts with oceans. Of course most of the Niger river is in festering jungles and swampland rather than desert, but very little of the thinking behind early Victorian exploration bears much close scrutiny anyway.  lol
