AND the first three...possibly the last three...bunkers are done...OH BABY! (the standard reaction to the completion of a commission piece otherwise known as "that release from Hell feeling). SO here are some almost adequate photos of the pieces:

The obligatory overhead shot:

...from the side:

...the somewhat worse for wear bunker:

...the smallest bunker:

...AND the last & largest:

There you have it. The two tanks & shed will be next; then off they go to the Bleak, Dark World that is 40K Iowa...insert a blood curdling scream here. Once the package is sent & until I here what Himself wants next, I'm free to do whatever I want...within the constraints of my present physical condition that is.
Your kind comments, as always, would be most welcome.

Beau-ti-ful. Very nice colours that almost glow. I like the intensity you put in without going pastel. (My paints end up pastel/white)

Keep em coming old chap. :D

Cheers

Thanks, Matt...I needed that. I'm delighted you like the colors. I try to avoid using white as a highlight...other than  for something white that is. White does tend to make things look washed out. SO I normally go for highlights that are lighter shades of the color their highlighting; for example, I used a light yellowish brown (came) for the final highlight on the bunkers...the main colors there being marigold with a light iron oxide wash; then a dry brush of marigold & a final brush with the camel.

...AND now the tanks are finished:

AND a Group Shot:

I Googled the photos to Himself. The reaction was VERY enthusiastic...more Ooze pieces were requested.

Thanks, Paul. This is actually a concerted effort at being somewhat subdued. I did avoid the fire engine red tanks that I might otherwise gravitated towards.

With Dr. J's stuff nearing completion I've started thinking about what is next in line for The Project. One of those things that has me thinking is the ruins of Temerity O'Leery's Steam Punk Mushroom Tower:

I'm toying with the idea of adding lots of scaffolding & making it into a building in repair...possibly adding the Armor Cast Steam Mushroom Observatory up on the top tower. The Necromancer's Lab & the Vampire Bar & Grill under The Graveyard are also on the agenda...just nothing to take photos of yet.
Be that as it may, your comments, kind or not, would be most welcome...for the most part.

...only in miniature...mostly. If you missed it The (more or less complete) Graveyard is here:

Repair scaffolding makes for a neat variation on the usual banal "ruined wizard's tower"! A tale of past battles won and, er, lost (but I'm sure Temerity O'Leery claims victory in any case). It also gives you an opportunity to add mini-diorama elements, of Tim's flunkies going about their repair work.

That white side tank definitely needs some gubbins on it or something to otherwise break up the space/shape. Complex machinery or maybe a spiral walkway to a bizarre testing apparatus on top.

Or maybe it's the vampire's liquor supply.  lol
