The new mushrooms look cool! Definitely need some of those for my orctober goblin project that is currently on hold. I've been getting some inspiration from the DCC RPG artwork which I think you'll like.

OH WOW! The colors! Thanks for the inspiring photo, qazbnm! I've found a lot of inspiration in Tanya Millers wonderfully strange illustrations:

...cool, eh?!

There is no news yet on the Mushrooms...soon I hope.

After putting in the prerequisite staring into to space time, I've finally got the upper sections of the Urban Blight Board underway. The tentacle sporting tenement's top four floors are basically complete & primed with detailing & painting yet to be done. SO, here's where we stand:

Now that baseball season is winding down, I should, out of desperation for something to do in the evening, be updating more frequently. Whether or not this is good new is a matter of perspective. Be that as it may, your kind comments are once more requested.

Looking good so far! I like the balcony, and collapsing/settling effect of the overall structure. Nice!

Is that a face in the doorknocker?

Thanks, Jevenkah! The Blight will have a bombed out Mordheim look with some renovations. The balconey will link up eventually to the building across the street...upper story walkways should figure large in the swashbuckling...hopefully.

Not this time. At present its just a door ring, but, now that you've given me the idea, doing another face would be fun. Here's the one down the block:

Thanks, Fram...I think I've got a feel for the thing now; SO it will, hopefully start picking up momentum.

Architecture before its time.

Thanks von Lucky. It looks more like architecture before it falls. With the rest of the Blight twisted & leaning also perhaps they'll hold each other up...or not.

Onwards and upwards, Al!

Upwards it is! I think this will be one of the shortest building in the Blight...well someone has to be the runt. My buildings raise decrepitude to an art form..or not.

I am glad that you have never been my landlord!

The rising structure looks great as always. The hint of layers to come in the background are even more promising. Those shots are giving me a better idea where you are headed, and it's going to be magical. Creepy, yet magical. In fact, Creepy Yet Magical could be the name of you style.
(I hope that doesn't sound negative, cause you know I love your work.)

Thanks, Michka. I'm glad you are still enjoy the stuff; AND that does sound like a fine definition of my style.
I think that this one will probably the tamest place in the neighborhood. I'm already having the I should have done this or added that thoughts about the place. Those thoughts will undoubtedly play a part in the next buildings made.

Look great. I kinda wish you could have tentacles coming out of al the windows too but then the interior wouldn't be very usable I suppose.

Thanks, Diakon. Actually, I'm adding a couple of slithery tentacle that have worked their way through the cracks in the lower level trap door. A possessed painting is in the works also...not to mention a face on the upper floor door for Jevenkah.

Looking good mate.

I just had a cunning plan, what if there was a tentacle beastie elevator service? You stand below, shout his name and what floor you want - and up you go. Just make sure you pay your fare afterwards or you may not get far ;)  ;D it could look a little like a warehouse, open doors on the floors with the 'hoist' on the top of the building. ;D

Or!

A rapunzel-monster where you can climb up the tentacles. Or a thick well placed beanstalk could do similar.  ;D

What a warped imagination you have, Bertie!

I think that you had better send me your address again, as the last one did not contain your Cell number, or the name of your Doctor.... ::)
