Love the door decor, and that tower is wondrous from the get-go.

So would the tower of Evil Rapunzel have a window with a suspiciously long braid of hair hanging out of it be coming soon? Maybe even hanging in line of sight of those rather large eyes?

Finding kind replies to my thread is always a pleasant & motivating way to start the day.

Love the door decor, and that tower is wondrous from the get-go.

So would the tower of Evil Rapunzel have a window with a suspiciously long braid of hair hanging out of it be coming soon? Maybe even hanging in line of sight of those rather large eyes?

Thanks, Michka...glad you like the latest additions. The face has gotten some very nice comments.

The basic construction of the upper sections of the tower are just about done less cutting out the windows, adding a chimney &, perhaps, a garderobe, & the roof. Then I'll fancy it up with some leering faces, tentacles, & such. Getting carried away once more, the rickety upper section more than double the height of the tower. As far as a means of entry, the braid is still an option or I'll go with some encircling vines. The vines give me the option of adding some huge flowers with mushroom style faces in the center.

Very nice work again Deafnala, I don't know how you keep the momentum up! :)

Thanks, beefcake. The momentum is maintained through kind comments & the total lack of a social life. I think it may be a matter of having nothing else to do with my time.

Thanks, pocoloco. I'll try to have something new &/or interesting whenever you stop by.
Considering the fact that the only feature the tower boast are eyes, I think he(?) has quite an expressive face(?).

Your work amaze me. You have been going so far in creating your own world ... this impressive.

Thanks, Treebeard. The Project is rather becoming my World. I writing an epic albeit absurdly silly story in insulation foam & balsa wood with a cast of metal & plastic characters. I am delighted you are following & enjoying the tale.

I can relate; being at a loss for words seems to happen a lot more now than it did years ago...another sigh of imminent senility in my case. Since that's not the case with you, thanks, von Lucky!

Well...when I named the thread, I figured this will probably be the last project I'd be doing. Of course, considering the scope of The Beasty, this may be long years in the making...I may have to ask The Man for some extra time.

...not to mention that Vile Crime Lord, Snow White & her Gang of Short Thugs, The Malignant Seven. I doubt the Brothers Grimm would approve.
Thanks for the reply, qazbnm. The top section is getting more complex, but it's just about ready for a W.I.P. update shot.

Some small progress on Rapunzel's Twisted Tower has been made & photographed for your entertainment & edification...or something like that. SO without further delay or warning:

The Tower as it looks now:

...looking down from the dizzying heights (27"):

...the lower portion:

...AND the Tower proper:

There is still the matter of the roof, chimney with or without a stork's nest, & various & sundry details to be done, but this should give you some idea where I'm headed...just in case you want to get off here. The Tower will most likely be based as a side street off The Urban Blight, hence the photo of it by one of the other Blight Buildings...it gives you an idea of its height also.

Until the next update, your kind comments would be appreciated...for the most part.

Wonderful shapes! The details that intrigues me the most are the doors. The hatch wheels (I have no idea what the proper term is) make one question just what kind of creature needs security like that 80 feet above the ground!

An ambitious and entertaining addition to your fantastic world.

God's holy trousers... is that your tallest building yet?  :-*

How strong is it at the narrowest point (above the stone base)? Do you have some sort of reinforcement there?

chimney with or without a stork's nest

What sort of question is that? This is a high-security facility, is it not? Of course the chimney needs a lookout stationed!  lol

:o Oh my fluffy Buddha, you have completely lost your mind!
That is magnificent. Brilliant in the extreme. My sleep deprived brain has run dry of over-the-top exaltation about how cool that piece is.
Thank you for this. You made my day.
