You're going to have a quite a horde by the time you're done. What faction will these folk represent in the world of DeafNala? Are they the city watch in this seedy slum? Militia or Standing troops more apt to cause havoc as roustabouts in town than on a battlefront somewhere far away? A mercenary company mustering up for adventures elsewhere? Actual invading forces?

I'm still working out the story line. The Honorable Company is similar in size, if not composition, to a Mordheim Dwarf Treasure Hunters' War Band. When the slayers come they'll be at maximum strength of twelve with a couple extra for replacements, weapon up grades plus some hired swords. The Pistoleers could be counted as Road Wardens, The Knights are problematic but I'll come up with something. Since at best I get in some solo games, the Crew(s) are more for story telling & photos than actual gaming.

I have other Gangs planned & some in the works. SO, it is becoming a Horde. The NEED (similar to an addiction need) to make terrain will put the brakes on large numbers of miniatures for better or worse.

Looking forward to see these knights finished besides some of your wonderful terrain.

Thanks for the reply, kaiser. While I too look forward to completion, I try to savor the process...painting & basing at the same time. It slows things down, but it is more satisfying.

That's a powerful looking mounted force charging into the Frey. The bases look stellar.

Thanks, Michka! Doing the bases is a favorite activity for moi; it's one of those creative things that is all my own. SO I'm delighted you like them.
The Dwarven Pony Boys do look impressive. The minis are rich in character with the Ponies actually having as much &, in some instances, more personality than their riders. It's been quite some time since I painted mounted minis, this might be more of a challenge than it would appear to be....I'm up for it...or not.

Such a great thread, so many brilliant and characterful painted minis! Love the bases too. I can spy some greenstuff mushrooms in the background, are those being used on the bases or separate terrain?

Thanks, Velvet Mark. I'm glad you are enjoying my efforts. Your own WONDERFULLY imaginative creations are some of the most unique & inspiring pieces on the Forum...VERY IMPRESSIVE WORK!

Most of the Mushrooms are the result of having extra green stuff; having them on hand makes detailing bases quicker. On the far left, front row you may be able to make out one with a face, a dread Clarabella Mushroom; that one is destined to share a base with a Dark Hold Pack Rat & handler...or two.

Give it one last chance. Then pull it apart and use the parts to build a pig pen for the town.

I know it can read this.

The pig pen idea has its merits...every town should have an ample supply of pigs.

I'm DeafNala & I'm a Mini Addict...gasp! I admit to being weak. I kept looking at those Old Harlequin Dwarfs & thinking someday I'll order some from Black Tree. Well someday came; I blew some money, & this is what I have so far...there are a few more packs on the way...supposedly:

The Harlequins:

AND some Black Tree Gun Slingers:

That should keep moi out of trouble for awhile...or not.

As far as addictions go, there are worse ones to be burdened with...
And where is the fun in staying out of trouble? ;)
I can't wait to see these painted, I'm sure you'll do a marvelous job on them!

This is true. You rarely see a Guy laying in the gutter with a paint brush in his hand.
On the staying out of trouble part, it might be a refreshing change or at least something I've never done before.

I can't wait to see these painted, I'm sure you'll do a marvelous job on them!

Thanks, Modhail...I'll give it my best shot...poor as that might be.
