The Sarge's New Truck
« on: September 24, 2007, 09:35:32 PM »
The Sarge got a new Truck today.  1918 Ford Runabout.  Even came with a nice little tin for transport all for eight bucks.  I plan to re-paint it and load it up with a bunch of extra luggage like the vehicles from Atlantis.

What a great find! It'll look lovely repainted and with some luggage strapped to the sides...

Is that R Lee Ermey?
Barbarella: What's that screaming? A good many dramatic situations begin with screaming...

I'm pretty sure he had something to do with the inspiration for that figure.

"I despice the sight of you, you pile of civilian shit! Now drop down and give me 50!"

I gave a talking Ermy action figure to the 1 year old son of a friend for Christmas. His mother was appaled.

Sideshow. They are collectibles and "the extra salty", meaning the one with a plethora of profanities and abuse, is sold out.

One of my favorites:

"You've got enough blubber hanging off of your fat frame to feed a family of Eskimos for a week. "

Lady Helen was a sergeant in the Oz army, I believe. I somehow doubt she used to cuss this way. :-)

Edit: Here's another little nugget:
Sgt. Hartman (R.L.E): How tall are you, private?
Cowboy: Sir, five foot, nine, sir!
Sgt. Hartman: Five foot, nine, I didn't know they stacked sh** that high.

The figure show with the truck can be purchased from Pulp Figures In this pack

but I'll warn you it will lead to hours of miniature troop reviews and and crazy shouting while you move a little man back and forth across your miniature shelf.  My Bretonian Knights have never done so many push ups.  "What is that on the top of your helmet soldier?  A little deer?  You think a little deer is going to help you fight better?  Your a disgrace to the uniform!  Now drop and give me 50.

Ok here is the finished truck.  Someday I'm going to add a luggage system that I can add and remove as I need it.

Beautiful. Perfect for taking Mrs. Sarge out for picnic.

"You call that a pie?!? I call this a masterpiece! Now reach down and give me the whip cream! Hut hut hut!"

The tarpaulin is just beautiful.
