Seriously though, great, great work.  The shields are the best I've ever seen

Colonel,

I saw these earlier, and then again on Steve's forum.  I thought they were, quite simply, wonderful.  I love the richness of colour and, for me, the skin tone's perfect.  Well done indeed!  :-*

Captain Blood is a sea captain, which is the equivalent of an army colonel anyway, so it is more of a step on to dry land than a promotion. Maybe his ship sank.

Nice to see that you've got a hold on the basic principles of painting.  ;)

Those really are outstanding!!  :-*  :-* with my own Zulu project penciled in for next month, these will be a great source of inspiration. Have you or will you be painting any British troops to take them on?

After having made up my mind to switch to the Sudan after the recent WI thread, this fantastic collection is now drawing me back to the south of the Dark Continent!

Great work!

Superlative work sir!
I hate to sound like a minah (sp?) bird, but the above outspoken gentle men are indubitably correct, Magnificent work and a true shame, as said above, that you think it poor work.
