Got mine for a fiver when they were desperate to sell some the first time around but can highly recommend it as a very useful and interesting book

It covers Tribal and Imperial Armies from 1800 to 1900.
I agree that it is well worth having.

That actually sounds pretty interesting, if the 'Boss' hasn't already got one, I may look into it when the next paycheck comes through.

The best single volume Darkest Africa source I've found so far. Essential!

I was apparently not the intended reader for this series of books. When I bought a few of them I was hoping for more history and less organisation and uniform. Perhaps this differs between books but the three I have are all like that.

For uniforms and costume I want colour illustrations, and there is none of that in them.
