I tried the first book and couldn't get past the fact she'd said that London Victorian gentry had 'jelly' on their toast rather than jam or conserve.  You'd think that the editor would have picked it up.

I read in the reviews on Amazon that the writing slips between the two variations of English several times, but for £5 I think I can overlook that and insert proper English lol

Yeah, £5 for three is less than I paid for the first one, so definately a good bargain.

... and insert proper English lol

At the time I inserted some good old fashioned Anglo-Saxon.  ;)
