Building wrought iron and stone walls
« on: February 22, 2011, 12:45:04 PM »
For my Cold Wars game, I need some walls for the graveyard. I did not want to just do stone walls so I decided to make my own stone and wrought iron walls.

These were made using 3 pieces of PVC sheet for the wall, a single piece of PVC for the flat part atop the wall, some brass rod for the rails and then a piece of Styrene I-beam for the cross bar.

The stone work was pencilled in first and then scored into the PVC with an awl.

I then mounted it to a base and added some Vallejo White Pumice to the base to give it an uneven "ground" look.

I have another section to do for the other side and still need to build the gate as well. I'll post pictures as they come along.

Sweet.I've had something similar in mind so it's interesting to see how you've done it.

Once I get the other wall done and the gate, then I will paint and post pictures.
